Bass Coast has always been a source of inspiration for me. Creating this set felt like a full circle moment, pulling from the sounds that shaped me into the artist I am today. There is something about this festival that opens my mind wider, that allows me to dig deeper and approach things a little differently. This set inspired me a lot, and it was a dream to open the weekend with it. Very grateful and honoured.

At times I serenaded you with soulful reggae; at times, I shelled you with basslines — all straight from my tender heart to yours. Massive thanks to the Akisq’nuk First Nation, the Wicked Woods crew, and ever-expanding gratitude to Indigogh (Jackson), who mastered a track the night before I left for the Woods of Whimsy — so I could bathe the forest creatures in proper root chakra frequencies.

Check out @Indigogh — an insanely talented, grounded, and humble homie based in Vancouver, with some enchanting-as-fuck projects in the pipeline.

He told me he'd listened to all of my mixes (high praise!) and especially loved a Jamaican dub mix I put out in 2022 (Gettin’ Irie in the Eddy). He asked for morning dubs for the people — and I felt well-equipped for the assignment.
