"See of Sound" is a 2008 album by the Studio-Project, Butterflydreem. The project was conceived, written, recorded, and produced by Easysleeves members Nicholas Caparso & Courtney Crabtree. Released the same year as Easysleeves' debut album "Pangea" and Mushroom Camelot's "Places" (also a Caparso Studio-Project), "See of Sound" was Butterflydreem's one and only album. Like most of Caparso's musical productions, the album is highly conceptual. Heavily influenced by the Taoist writings of Chuang Tzu, the album was specifically designed to accommodate listeners in altered states. All 15 tracks are single-key drones and heavily layered. Besides the vocals of Caparso & Crabtree, the only instruments on the album are guitar, organ, and sitar. There is no percussion. The album bends and stretches conventional timing to help the listener get lost in the music. Although Caparso & Crabtree wrote lyrics for several songs, many are improvised (in the attempt to write in the "now"). Butterflydreem never performed live. "See of Sound" was strictly a Studio-Project. HEADPHONES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Butterflydreem is the Shoegaze/Drone studio-project of Nicholas Caparso & Courtney Crabtree (of psychedelic band Easysleeves). Their one and only album, "See of Sound" was released in 2008.
