Kasper Marrott isn’t your standard techno-Dane. He stuck his flag in the sand with breakthrough hit ‘Keflavik’ back in 2018 and has since continued to shake up dancefloors with his high-spirited and steady-growing anthology of beats, culminating in the release of his debut album ‘Full Circle’ early last year. His contribution to our mix series contains an hour filled with progressive cuts, bumpy and rolling basslines, entrancing harmonies and above all a very, very pleasant forward pushing drive. From start to end you’ll be taken into a locked groove that brings you right into rapture. It lets your mind taste from the intangible energy that vibrant club nights can have. The spiraling psychedelic sounds and acid rhythms in the background of the thrusting tracks create a feeling of dancing in the dark while a searchlight of a lighthouse is trying to catch a glimpse of dancers. There’s no escaping from moving and experiencing the joyful feelings a vibrating night can bring.

Throughout summer we’ve had several moments of joy, but we wanted to make sure we wrapped it up with something special. The final event of the season was our traditional open air gathering organized with the guys from nite vibes. This year, at a completely new location. 

Situated in the forest of the outskirts of Prague, the party exceeded the exceptations. Right after Shoal’s live set, @n-c-o-l stepped in with a set that was beyond ecstatic.

It’s hard to find the right words to describe what her sounds transmitted to the crowd, so we made sure to capture it instead. 

Take a glimpse yourself & dig into an hour and a half of sweaty & muddy techno that will take you back to the foggy air as the sun was rising.

For our next instalment, we’d like to welcome the highly talented and friend of Static, DJ Niamh.

A regular across Naarm’s dance floors and airways, DJ Niamh has proven her skill as a selector, stringing together tech house, prog and trance with ease. She has played at some of this city's most renowned venue such as Revolver, Miscellania and Colour whilst also locking in gigs at bars like House of Plants, Skydiver and Dr. Morse.

Niamh has also dedicated her time, love and affection towards the radio community within Naarm. Featuring regularly on PBS FM and SYN FM, she has provided listeners with tracks from up and coming artists which has undoubtedly served as a propeller in their careers by providing them a platform to reach new fans. 

Her club and radio endeavours are made possible by her deep and passionate knowledge of the music industry, in which, she selflessly helps other artists in their careers. This is why we adore DJ Niamh and everything she stands for.
