@facta & @k-lone93 have been on a roll recently. Their Wisdom Teeth label has seen them put out not only excellent music from Tristan Arp, but also Facta's brilliant downtempo album Blush and K-Lone's recent Zissou EP. Both hail from London but are now Bristol-based and they mix up many of the different styles you'd expect from those two musical hotbeds. Everything from 2-step to Baltimore, post-dubstep to deep house gets distilled into their sets and productions, but always with well-swung drums and high-pressure bass. 

The pair kick off the New Year for us with a nimble mix that moves smoothly through glossy house depths, stripped-back broken beats and elastic rhythms. There is always a rich layer of percussion, sweet vocal or elegant melody burrowing deep into your brain while the beats keep your body happy. It's a perfectly persuasive listen that eases you off the sofa and back to the dance floor in no time.

With the release of their self-titled debut album, Berlin-based Australian duo a.s.o. – made up of DJ and producer Tornado Wallace (AKA Lewie Day) and singer-songwriter Alias Error (AKA Alia Seror-O’Neill) – fleshed out their nostalgic, dreamy and trip-hop-skewing sound across 11 emotive tracks described as “torch songs for club freaks”.

Across their Sunday Mix, the pair untangle their knot of influences for an hour-long mix that features a selection of music they’d choose to listen to while “trapped inside on a rainy Berlin Sunday”.

"This is the recording from the Butter Sessions Turner Street Sound 12" launch on the Evelyn Rooftop. In a classic Loose Joints b2b style, Ryan and I played records for almost 4 hours weaving through a host of bpms and records that inspired our 'Bunsen's Volume 1' record.  The TSS sound has a strong UK influence which can be heard in full effect here but you can also hear a host of unreleased and local productions littered throughout the mix which share an equal influence over our approach to music production and our selections.  The recording quality and mixing is far from perfect however it captures the fun and energy of the afternoon which had everyone in attendance having a proper dance.  Enjoy Turner Street Sound dropping Bunsen's at our most relaxed and open minded."
