The "chilling effect" refers to the discouragement of legitimate speech or conduct due to the fear of legal repercussions or social consequences. This fear can lead individuals or groups to self-censor, even when their actions are constitutionally protected, due to the perceived risk of punishment or negative reactions. 

Our American tax dollars are funding the systematic collective starvation of 2 million people. Far more than 55,000 civilian lives have been taken with American weapons overseas.

Our own neighborhoods are being torn apart by immigration enforcement agents (ICE). Innocent people are being permanently separated from their families and sent to prisons who have historically been used for cruel mistreatment, with almost no access to food water or medical care. All for the crime of crossing an imaginary line.
