BVNQUET returns to Defected’s new garage imprint Bad Decisions for a collaboration with UKG icon General Levy, ‘OG Reppa’. Founded by Defected CEO / UKG aficionado Wez Saunders as a self-proclaimed “passion project”, BVNQUET’s label debut ‘Too Late Now’ featuring Emma Cannon launched Bad Decision’s garage aesthetic in July of 2024. The record proved BVNQUET’s status as one-to-watch in the modern UKG scene, with a sonic that blended fresh, youthful production with a healthy dose of golden-era UKG nostalgia. The young producer now collaborates with a certified legend of that very same era - UK dancehall, jungle and garage scene mainstay General Levy, whose catalogue as an MC and deejay has seen him collaborate with A-list artists from Madness’s Suggs, M-Beat, and R&B singer Mark Morrison in the 90s, to Chase & Status, Fedde Le Grand and Idris Elba in recent years. General Levy’s distinct and explosive flow is front-and-centre for ‘OG Reppa’, supported by rip-roaring production as BVNQUET keeps the energy at a peak with a confidence well beyond his years.

Bad Decisions figurehead BVNQUET returns to the label alongside rising talent mustbejohn for ‘Move & Flex’. Freshly launched for summer 2024, Defected’s garage imprint Bad Decisions continues to go from strength to strength following BVNQUET’s label debut and subsequent collaboration with UKG icon General Levy ‘OG Reppa’. Now he collaborates with Hertfordshire’s mustbejohn, an artist and vocalist whose genre-crossing style has already seen him work alongside a wide variety of fellow up-and-comers. Inspired by the sound of the noughties, ‘Move & Flex’ is steeped in a youthful energy as two future leaders create a wild outing of UKG that is modern in sound yet nostalgic in its aesthetic; BVNQUET’s bold, dancey rhythms and bright synthwork harken back to the golden era of UKG, blending seamlessly with mustbejohn’s stylish vocal flow that is dripping in charisma with every bar.

'Treasure', the final track on his debut EP, is a major collaboration with producer duo Star.One, rapper Scruffizer, and vocalist Shayan. BVNQUET’s signature production style helms the track alongside the tougher sounds of Star.One, with legendary UK rapper Scruffizer’s modern flow and Shayan’s delicate topline bringing elements of Neo Soul into the track.
