Several months ago my dear friend Kevin (Exolinguist) asked me to DJ at his next Microrave event on Dia de los Muertos weekend November 1-2. Our November Live at Glass Hill show was scheduled for that same day, but it was an afternoon show and I didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to hang with the tribe, so after packing up after Glass Hill I drove 4 hours just in time to drop this fresh batch of unapologetic Zenonesque gems as the waxing gibbous moon was reaching its peak over the DJ booth and the clocks fell back an hour. Never mind that in the interim Grand Park had added a closing event for our Die de los Muertos program and I had to be back in LA by 7am for load-in 🫠😝 Staying up for 45 hours straight is not an experience to make a habit of, but it certainly made for an epic adventure and I lived to tell the tale! I am beyond grateful to Kevin and the Microrave fam for the opportunity 🫶

This epic LiB 2013 mix was originally posted on Soundcloud and features one track from every artist on each of the festival's three main stages - Lightning, Woogie, and Bamboo (RIP). I also included a smattering of artists who played at the Temple of Consciousness (RIP).

I sent this mix to every artist I could find that had a Soundcloud page and got lots of encouraging responses and feedback. Random Rab even reposted it to his page for a week or so, and the additional plays and follows were pretty explosive after that.

It topped out at just under 8,000 plays (the highest I ever received for any mix on Soundcloud), but then Soundcloud removed it for copyright infringement. That hasn't seemed to be a thing for awhile so I'm reposting it now. Hopefully it gets to stay this time.

My first live-streamed set in a while was this past March for none other than Brian (PiCO) Sullivan’s Heartburst stream! This was an experiment in combining two of my disparate by perennial favorite genres - bass music and zenonesque psytech/psytrance, which I’ve always been curious about mixing together due to being similar tempos, albeit with the latter being halftime. This set order was off the cuff and unrefined, requiring further exploration, but a fun adventure nonetheless!
