A while back Whitetail came out with his track called "照らす! A Million Lights" and I fell absolutely in love with it. I would just listen to it over and over, again and again. It's wonderful in so many ways, interesting sample use, amazing layering, creative instrumentation and execution. I knew I had to remix it so I set out to do just that. Hope you all enjoy~

So Yoshi's New Island's soundtrack has its rough parts, and when the title theme of your game is really THIS rough you've gone a little wrong somewhere.

But the thing is that I notice that it's not the COMPOSITION that's bad, it's the instrument selection and mixing that are more often at fault. If only that main instrument was switched out, this would be a really beautiful track.

So I looked around for a MIDI and couldn't find one, but I DID find a MIDI for the Overworld Theme.

Thing about the overworld theme though is that the only thing wrong with it is that it's got a pretty crappy trumpet, really. So I replaced the trumpet with a better one. A section of trumpets, actually. Outside of that only a few slight changes were made, moving things up an octave for a bit of cuteness (since my piano isn't nearly as cute as Nintendo's version is) and removing the bell since I felt the trumpets being better made the bell superfluous.

This has been my shot at "fixing" the overworld theme from Yoshi's New Island, I hope you enjoy it!

I'd LOVE to take a shot at fixing the main theme but unfortunately a MIDI doesn't exist, which is what I would need to be able to work from. Ah well.

So I made it clear that I REALLY wanted to take a shot at fixing the title theme from Yoshi's New Island. And amazingly enough, somebody came forward who can transcribe MIDI!

Reddit user Purple1222119 put together a MIDI in what I believe was THREE HOURS time. What an absolute trooper, really. With this in hand I'm actually able to bring a fix for the title theme to you guys like I originally wanted!

The original song is just brought down waaaay too much by how annoying the main lead is. I knew this and I really wanted to see what the track would be like with a simple instrument replacement.

With a MIDI, it was just a matter of finding out what instruments I wanted to use, finding the proper percussion samples (WHICH WAS REALLY HARD MIND YOU, especially since I wanted to get it spot on) and then putting everything together in a nice little mix.

I only worry that I may have rushed this since I did put this together rather quickly haha, but I hope you guys enjoy none the less!

Heya, my name might possibly be Bwarch. I make music, the beeps and boops and whatnot, ya know? 

My main genres are stuff like ambience, orchestral, little bit of world in there. I compose electronically but I adore using acoustic instrument libraries. FL Studio is my weapon of choice.

I'm part of the net label collective Audmonsters and I run several social media accounts for it.
