This piece was transcribed in Sibelius 7.5 and rendered using NotePerformer without additional enhancements. It is based on a painting by Arnold Böcklin. For 5 Flutes, Piccolo, 2 Oboes, English Horn, 2 Clarinets and Bass Clarinet in Bb, 2 Bassoons, Contra-bassoon, 6 horns in F, 3 Bb Trumpets, 3 Trombones & Tuba, Timpani, Triangle/Bass Drum, Harp, Strings

Rachmaninoff: The Isle of the Dead - A Symphonic Poem

After reaching No. 94 in my catalogue, No. 95 had to be a quartet and it had to be in F minor. The dedication is "In awe of Ludwig van Beethoven", and I hope you can see how my quartet is modelled on his Op.95 - compact, dramatic, four movements with similar key structure. I couldn't hope to match his writing, especially his miracle at the end, but it is offered as my best effort in due reverence. It has yet to be played live, so this is a rendering using NotePerformer.
