Bwompster is a dubstep DJ and producer from North Dakota who thrives on delivering rib-rattling bass and immersive soundscapes. As a resident DJ with Sub:Culture, he’s built a reputation for sets that balance eerie atmospheres, spine-shaking drops, and enough sub-bass to make the walls sweat.

“Growing up in North Dakota, I always knew music would be a part of my life,” Bwompster recalls. “The first time I heard dubstep, I was hooked. It felt like someone flipped the script on what music could do—and I wanted in.”

In September 2024, Bwompster dropped his debut EP, “Cassette Fire,” on SUM R&R, a release that’s been described as a raw and electrifying fusion of deep grooves and heavy, crunching low-end. Featuring standout tracks like Fiya, the EP captures his ability to weave powerful energy with intricate sound design.

A champion of the underground, Bwompster draws inspiration from North Dakota’s tight-knit scene and the Sub:Culture crew. Whether it’s a small, sweaty venue or a festival stage, he brings a raw energy that connects with crowds. His South Dakota debut at Synesthesia Music and Arts Festival was just the beginning of his journey beyond state lines.

Over the years, Bwompster has shared stages with heavyweights like Bukkha, FRQ NCY, GLD, Jantzen, Chomppa, MeSo, Secret Recipe, Vaski, and Wonky Willa, proving his sound holds its own against the best in the game. Known for digging deep into the files for obscure gems and unreleased heat, his sets are equal parts bass therapy and a wild, euphoric ride.
