This is the debut album by Funeral Parade Of Roses. It takes the form of a suite of four ominous, cinematic soundscapes suffused with foreboding and unease. In each track, dread-laden industrial atmospherics are punctuated by scorching bursts of rhythm, pantomiming an ongoing struggle between loss and liberation. The presentation of this body of sound work is also conceived as a collaboration between the artist and designer / illustrator Priscilla Genet, whose artwork is featured both on the full color printed insert sleeve and the accompanying zine. The zine itself is a booklet of stream of consciousness verse that explores a highly personal meditation on negation, the anarchic, and utopian eschatology.

track 3 from 'Delete Time', the debut album by Seaclones.

Seaclones is the collaboration of Pittsburgh producers Five Star Hotel and Machine Listener. This feature length album plays with sub bass, time dilation and improvisation. It is comprised of almost entirely synthesized sounds: sine waves, blasts of white noise and sub frequencies arranged with care and attention to detail. Each track is its own universe and can be enjoyed as a standalone world or in the greater constellation of the album as a whole. Some of these tracks are edited, some we elected to release exactly as they were performed in the studio. Any synth and guitar overdubs present on the record were done in one take and completely unedited, sometimes leaving bare in real time the programming  of a patch or writing of the riff in the track. We love this music the way a parent loves a child. It is free to do as it pleases and has license to play, learn, grow, and just BE over the course of its life. This music was incredibly fun to produce. Moments of almost supernatural synchronicity reared their bizarre heads in every single session and we found ourselves awestruck: unstoppably giggling, crying, and always questioning reality as we knew it. Delete Time is simply our gift to you  and ourselves, and a second album is already well underway. Enjoy it while driving, dancing, playing video games, on a walk in nature, sync it up with a video of insects mating, or while staring at a wall.

"After perusing the silt underground of northern europe, Berlin’s Jon Baruc has returned for their first solo release in three years as Death Qualia. The Fanged Contradiction EP is a side plot to our rising comprehension of the anti-hero's journey; their lore taking place in a timeless village threatened and paralysed by an all-terrain beast.
Musically, their record pays homage to Baruc and Ohm Resistance's shared origins of New York as a sort of year 3030 take on urban east coast space-gangster beats. The brimming 6-track vinyl ranges from vivid scenic ambient to Death Qualia's personal brand of ultra-techno."

Ohm Resistance is a Brooklyn-based record label started in 1999 and owned by Kurt Gluck aka Submerged. The very influential outcome, reportedly a specialist in "subsonic grief-bass programming",  is renowned for its dense catalog which first hosted Mick Harris' Quoit breakcore outings, several Bill Laswell's solo and collaborative works, as well as numerous releases by the founder himself. Recently focused on the most cutting-edge expression of modern industrial and dub electronics, such as productions by the likes of Homemade Weapons, Dadub, Diasiva, and Speak Onion, the label is now about to publish the 6-tracks Fanged Contradiction EP by Jonathan Baruc, disguised as Death Qualia.

Also active with the brilliant DEFCE duo together with Clem Von Holstein, the new EP marks another step in Baruc's solo musical vicissitudes after a 3-year hiatus, coming after a plentiful of outstanding releases on labels such as Splatterkore, Private Archive, Portals Editions, and Entity, and the stunning production for hip hop cult artist Zebra Katz's debut album. Fanged Contradiction, produced by the US artist and mastered at the Dadub Mastering Studio, is a rich compendium of blackened drum and bass, booming overdubs, and rattling violence.

As stated by Jonathan himself, now Berlin-based, the record marks the start of a brand new phase in the project's ten-year life, one that will be known for "collaborating a lot more and spending a lot less time in front of my computer and machines alone: music’s meant to be fun and shared, I want to push that more". Surely enough, the vibrant work collects variegated influences and styles, spanning from contemporary deep dnb to the finest sound art, going through dub techno and even flashcore, yet always tapping into Baruc's own background in power-electronics and 80's industrial music. In the record, throbbing frequencies in the low-end spectrum bounce off in abrupt bursts of damned bass rage, defining a new path in his productions suspended between cinematic ambiance, hyper-techno, and surgical (almost harsh) sound design.

The Fanged Contradiction EP will be released on October 10th digitally and on 12" vinyl, also coming with two aggressive pieces of artwork by Nicolas Berger depicting a Cthulhu-like, menacing creature crawling out of the deepest lariat in all its undead majesty. Today, we're very glad to be premiering the fourth track on the list, namely the B-side opener "Curb Your Fanged". Possibly the most violent outing on the record, the piece attacks the listener via a barrier of quadruple-time kicks and the creeping noise of invertebrate beings scheming in the dark, resulting in a memorable and shocking sonic assault. BxC is a collective of like-minded individuals dedicated to bringing energy, excitement and diversity to the Pittsburgh scene. Rooted in the DIY methods of punk, early rave and noise, we're looking to bring forward challenging sounds, visuals, and methods both in a serious and party-oriented environments. Live acts, new voices, and genre challenging are priorities to go along with diverse djing and an inclusive atmosphere and a raucous dancefloor.

Extreme electronics, breakcore, modular synthesis, IDM, algoraving and post-industrial beats are some among the sounds that we are interested in presenting, but are merely a jumping off point.
