Raised in the Irish raving party scene, now relocated in Newcastle, Ben Prophet is one of the talents to keep an eye on.

His "Hyper Funk EP" perfectly represents his dominant sounds and the main track style, mixing gritty, piercing drums with fragmented sounding vocals and drums to create a raw blend of techno-induced beats. 

The remix of Tommy 2000 gives a DnB touch to the EP, rolling drums and crumbling sounds command the sound of his re-interpretation. 

The other tracks "GTFB", "In Too Deep" and "Get Up And Dance" are three speedy raw techno dancefloor-oriented tracks, three useful weapons if you need something to use to burn your soundsystem!

In the age of TikTok, “Bigroom” and “Sensual” may present as much a juxtaposition as “Techno” and “Underground”. Being never the one to shy away from building bridges, DJ Gigola situates her upcoming EP “Bigroom Sensual” somewhere in the empty space between early 2000s technoid sounds and the harder, faster rhythm of a new generation of dancers – both of which fill big rooms in their own distinct ways.
 
In a series of EPs, the Berlin-based DJ and producer envisions a type of Bigroom that blends the feeling of 2001-2010 Trance Techno, minimalist swaying Tech-House and the current wave of ubiquitous high-energy sound, united by her signature soundscape and the meandering subline of her caressing vocals.
 
Caught between the lines, the launch of the “Bigroom Sensual” series is an attempt at reconciliation, mediating the supposed disconnect between Gen-Z Rave and Boomer Tech-House where both come best together: on the dancefloor, repurposing the big room as a place of reunion.
