Hello hello! 
After a super long hiatus, I return with a song that has been haunting me for almost a year until the movie finally released: Uta Yo. 

Kaho Nakamura (the VA and singer for the characer "Belle" in the movie) has such a unique voice! She really sings with her heart, and I feel it very strongly. 

I hope I was able to convey a similar feeling too. Enjoy! :)

I know, I know, it's a Scottish song, but still. I love her voice, her version of this song, her everything. I just love KOKIA, all in all. :P Anyway, this song is dedicated to a character of mine who had passed on. I can only hope he finds peace, wherever he is now.

I tried using harpsichord (on the keyboard) to mimic the sound of a harp (and probably failed doing this), and this time, recording separately. 

It sounds slightly better now! Maybe I'll try this method for my other covers. ^_^ (I probably have to fix that background noise. It's...difficult with the menial tools I have. :s)

But! This time around, I recorded my piano from the piano itself! (if that makes any sense. XD) And I had a friend, he-who-refused-to-be-named, who helped me clean up and make the track all fanciful. XD

Well, hope this works, and maybe I'll consider recording stuff this way next time around. :)

Back again, after months (probably years by now) of gone-ness! I return with a cover I've been wanting to do for the longest time. I first heard this in Haven, after passing by the tavern on my way to fetch the next quest. :P

I can't play the guitar/lute/mandolin like how Maryden does in the game, but I sure can play the piano to accompany that!

Thanks to COVID-19, I actually have more time to put together more covers! 

KOKIA has such a dreamy voice that you just can't help but wrap yourself in the love she has for her music. Coincidentally, "Kurumarete" means "to be wrapped up", like all covered up in a blanket. There's a certain warmth to this song, and I hope that my cover captures that feeling the best it can. :)

So, sit back, relax, and let me lull you to sleep with KOKIA's "Kurumarete".

I've never played "I Am Setsuna", but I've always loved how gentle the soundtrack is; almost every track in there consists of only a piano and maybe some small extra, but it's a full-on piano-only soundtrack. Have a listen to it on Spotify or anywhere you listen to your music: it's beautiful. 

I did my best trying to capture the gentle vocals of the original vocalist, and I hope I nailed it!
