How do you know that what you have to share will matter?  How will you know that there is something of value, when sometimes you feel like an alien, when sometimes you wonder if there is anything new to be said that hasn't been said?  

You listen, and you listen, and you look, and you see a bunch of yahoos talking about things that they're not qualified in, sharing articles they haven't read, spouting acronyms and phrases for which they have no provenance or meaning.  And first, you don't want to be like them.  And second, you wonder...why you? Why would you have something worthwhile to say?
