Visionquest have made a big impact in their first two releases on the imprint from Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves. Now they fill up the dancefloor with light on ‘Dark Song’ EP from the compelling Tale Of Us.

Engulfing the listener in a luscious wall of sound from the onset of ‘Dark song’, Tale Of Us take an abstract and harmonious approach to their music. Understated beats and yearning vocals stretch the imagination to new heights in a new strain of house music engaging the senses through warm tapestries of sound.

Using similar low-end whispered sounds that resonate in a deep place, ‘Circle Of Love’ is a magnetic slice of dancefloor music. Its skipping beats and rippling bass enthralls but it’s the sensual vocal that gives ‘Circle Of Life’ a special edge and adds an element of mystery. ‘Valiant’ completes the package with an epic dose of bubbling beats and pads, inventing a masterpiece hybrid of techno and deep house leaving you spellbound.

Tale of Us are Berlin-based DJ and production partnership Karm and Matteo who are currently re-writing the rulebook for deeply moving, emotional electronic music. Together they share a sonic vision that pulls together elements of house and techno with influences from pop, nu-disco and even rock music. While all of their productions are instantly recognisable as Tale Of Us, these range from straight-up dance floor jams to low-slung ambient tracks and more abstract compositions. While both originally hail from North America, Karm was born in Toronto and Matteo in New York, they moved to Italy as children, which is where they met and formed the close working bond that they now share.

At present they are based in Berlin, an inspirational frontier, which has given them numerous opportunities to build relationships with fellow musicians who share their unique musical outlook and resulted in this special Visionquest release. Prior to this, Tale Of Us tracks could be found on labels such as Barraca Music, Cocoon' and Life & Death (the Tale Of Us remix of Thugfucker ‘Disco Gnome’ on Life and Death was hailed by Mixmag as one best records of 2010) and have put out various remix collaborations with fellow Visionquest label mates Shaun Reeves & Ryan Crosson. After years apart, we've finally got the boys back on our screens later this month. What better way to celebrate than by marking another return, to the label of their post-breakout "Stash" victory lap. Aus, Belfast and Boiler Room: there's no place like home.

"Just" wastes no time locking the brisk rhythm into place before a wriggling earworm of a lead pans across the channels. Atmospheric swells are pieced by gatling-gun snares; the tension builds but never releases, making this a surefire precursor to the bulk of heavyweight set climaxes you're likely to hear this summer. As ever, the aural equivalent of 20,000 bicep emojis.

Theta Eridani (θ Eri, θ Eridani) is a star in the constellation Eridanus. It has the traditional name Acamar from the Arabik Ākhir an-nahr which means "the end of the river“.
Acamar is a double star with some evidence suggesting it is part of a multiple star system
Acamar's distance from Earth as measured by the Hipparcos astrometry satellite is approximately 120 light-years.
Ptolemy described Acamar as a first-magnitude star, which some have taken to be in fact Achernar, which today appears just above the horizon in Alexandria where Ptolemy lived.
Achernar, however, was not visible to Ptolemy (it is from Alexandria today due to procession); its declination in 100CE was -67, making it invisible even at Aswan. Ptolemy's Eridanus thus without doubt ended at Acamar, which rose about 10 degrees above the horizon from Alexandria. This fact besides positively identifying Acamar as the original "end of the river", also strengthens the case for Acamar having been first magnitude in ancient times.
