MARK FARINA – MUSIC CULTURED will be released on STATIC MUSIC on June 16th 2017. 

MUSIC CULTURED is a smooth house tune from accomplished producer and DJ Mark Farina. Classic house percussion introduces the track, and over the 8 minutes what ensues is a rhythmic and driving tune. Cut up vocal samples talking about music, culture and authenticity are peppered over an arrangement that clearly shows Farina’s jazz and downtempo influences. A bass line sits underneath the main arrangement, which would undoubtedly propel the track when played on a club’s sound system. Layer after layer of sounds come together in Music Cultured which is a great illustration of the track’s name; Farina draws on a lot of influences for this track, and crafts a piece of classic house music perfectly.

Take Me To The Disco

C.J. has been letting the music speak for itself.  Having played at BPM, WMC, ADE, Sunset Campout.  In the Bay Area at clubs Audio, Love & Propaganda (formerly Vessel), The Great Northern, Temple, The Endup, and The Oasis (Oakland).  CJ is a part of the Delta Funk crew who has been doing events for the las 15+ years.  Delta Funk has been throwing parties in clubs, underground, after-hours & park events in SF & Oakland.  A resident DJ & sound technician at Audio since 2014.  A regular guest on Stanford Radio Shows "The Loop" & "Electronic Groove" & during KZSU Summer & Winter Solstice Marathons.

He has posted a new live monthly podcast on since June 2006, plus additional guest mixes on the Delta Funk podcast, Hidden Cove & Broadview Radio.  C.J.’s sets can go through a range of just about anything from downtempo/hip-hop to mid-tempo/disco/funk to house/tech-house/techno reading the room and providing the vibe to keep alive.

C.J. is now looking to spend time in the studio now & get some tracks released in 2017 and beyond.  He’s been in the studio, making a lot of personal edits of house & disco tracks to fit his DJ style.
