SEWA (Sewa Choki) es una productora, diseñadora de audio y multi-instrumentista con sede en Austin, Texas. De ascendencia Yaqui, su nombre, que significa "Flor" en su lengua indígena, refleja su profundo vínculo con sus raíces. Su enfoque artístico consiste en incorporar los ritmos, sonidos e instrumentos de su herencia, a la vez que integra sintetizadores y elementos artificiales. Inspirada por figuras como SOPHIE, Siete Catorce, clásicos productores de 3ball y diversos creadores de Techno y Guaracha, SEWA ha forjado un estilo propio que denomina "Cyber Tribal".

A través de esta fusión creativa, SEWA explora la convergencia entre la tradición y la innovación, creando una experiencia musical que conecta con variadas influencias y audiencias. Su enfoque refleja una reverencia profunda por su herencia y, simultáneamente, una voluntad de experimentar con nuevas tecnologías y tendencias sonoras. Su labor es testimonio de cómo la música puede erigirse como un puente entre el pasado y el futuro, entre lo orgánico y lo sintético.

En su nueva pista titulada "Ritual del Aceite", ella se aventura en un universo en el que la vida humana y el aceite son intercambiables y equiparables en su valor. En este contexto, muchos buscan enriquecerse explotando los recursos excesivos de la madre tierra. Sin embargo, también hay quienes se esfuerzan por retribuir a la Tierra el aceite que corre por las venas de los codiciosos.

Haciendo uso de sonidos clásicos de sintetizador combinados con creaciones propias que imitan instrumentos del mundo real, SEWA convoca un ritual sintético especialmente concebido para nuestra era actual.

I’m sharing my set from @nowadaysnyc from February, closing out the Sunday evening of the Nonstop party after Ayesha's crazy set. This was one of my favourite moments DJing ever I think. Pure synergy in one of my favourite places to play in the world.

Theres a load of genre hopping over the four hours but everything felt quite natural and seamless, taking things from peak time bass music down to a soft house music landing with a few twists and turns along the way.

Beautiful and affirming moment dancefloor moments are not to be taken for granted! Much love to everyone who danced.

Big Dope P has been ahead of the game for longer than we’ve been running this record label.

From Paris but currently based in London, his Moveltraxx label has been releasing cutting edge club music for over a decade, including releases by key figures from Jersey club (DJ Tameil, DJ Jayhood) and footwork (DJ Rashad, Traxman) before most European labels were aware of their music.

As a producer and DJ, he’s one of the best out, drawing from his encyclopaedic knowledge of club music worldwide to build hard, fast and ignorant club tracks on his MPC. Last year’s Hit Da Blokk EP is already a classic, and we’re psyched to have him follow that with Off Da Bottle, his debut on Local Action. On remix duty, Jersey Club king DJ Sliink re-works the track as only he can, while Her Records’ co-founder Sudanim stretches it out for a heavyweight drum workout.

For Off Da Bottle’s artwork we teamed up with France’s best streetwear brand WRUNG (www.wrung.fr/), who will be releasing a series of Off Da Bottle t-shirts this Summer. Also watch out for Off Da Bottle parties in London and elsewhere.
