Finnish producer Anton Sonin, aka SØNIN, returns to Anjunabeats with ‘Circles’.

‘Take Me There’ is the debut collaborative single from two breakout Anjunabeats artists: gardenstate and GVN. It is the label’s 700th release.

gardenstate were formed after a chance meeting between Marcus Schössow and Matthew Felner. They’ve become a popular fixture on the label: ‘By Your Side’, ‘Surreal’, plus their raved-up take on Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘No One On Earth’ have all been well received. With a growing underground following and a series of spectacular ‘Inspirations’ livestreams under their belt, Marcus and Matt will be releasing much more music on Anjunabeats in 2021.

The other mind at work on ‘Take Me There’ is Gavin Brown, aka GVN. Marcus Schössow introduced Gavin to Anjunabeats in 2020, and a record deal soon followed. His label debut ‘I Don’t’ was released in January 2021 on the first Anjunabeats Rising EP, quickly followed by ‘Back To Me / Ethereal’. Both ‘Back To Me’ and ‘Ethereal’ were premiered by BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Pete Tong on the same night. 

Supported by Above & Beyond, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Third Party and more, he’s a star in the making. GVN will be joining us on our stage at Creamfields in summer 2021.

Filmed in London by director Klement Brahaj, the official music video for ‘Take Me There’ stars enigmatic skateboard talent Jamie Griffin. Jamie was born in Ireland. With little access to skateparks, Jamie honed his craft in the backyard shed. Posting physics-defying tricks to social media, Jamie built a passionate online community. Today, he's a professional athlete.

Canadian electronic duo Sultan + Shepard remix Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Falling Forward’ (feat. Sub Teal), lifted from G&D’s third studio album ‘Remedy’.

‘Remedy’ was released in January 2020 and was inspired by the comfort humans can find in nature. Accruing over 3.5 million streams to date, the duo was in the midst of a worldwide tour when the pandemic began. Locked at home, Josh and Dave embraced livestreaming immediately. Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Club Quarantine’ has become a place for their fans to escape and connect on Twitch. The duo stream almost daily. 

Following the release of the ‘Remedy’ (Remixed) album in January - which featured reworks from Genix, Qrion, Nourey, ilan Bluestone & Maor Levi, and more - we return for another chapter in the story, with a new remix from Sultan + Shepard.

Sultan + Shepard formed in Montreal in 2002. Since then, Ossama Al Sarraf and Ned Shepard have worked with some of the biggest artists in the world. They’ve collaborated with Tiësto, David Guetta, Dillon Francis, Junior Sanchez and BT, and have remixed Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Bruno Mars. They earned a GRAMMY nomination in 2014 for their take on Mars’ ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’.

Recently, the duo has returned to their deep house and progressive roots, signing with Lane 8’s This Never Happened label. Their latest album ‘Something, Everything’ was released via the imprint on March 12 - it’s well worth a listen.

Italian-born but based in Prague, Spada joined our label in June 2020 with ‘Part Of Me’, which was handpicked by Above & Beyond for Anjunabeats Volume 15. Another delightful double A-side followed in December 2020: ‘Fantasya 3000 / Euphoria’.

He’s previously remixed Above & Beyond’s much-loved ‘We’re All We Need’ with Zoë Johnston, and his rework of Emma Louise’s 2012 indie hit ‘Boy’ featured on Anjunabeats Volume 11.

GVN was introduced to Anjunabeats by gardenstate’s Marcus Schössow. Born in Northern Ireland, the Liverpool-based producer is a star in the making: he’s collaborated with Third Party, released on Martin Garrix’s label and has been supported by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Danny Howard.

Earlier this year, he collaborated with gardenstate on the 700th Anjunabeats release, ‘Take Me There’. He’s also released on the Anjunabeats Rising EP series, and his tracks have featured heavily on BBC Sport’s coverage of the UEFA Euro 2020 championships.

"This EP is a special one for me. It's darker compared to the previous releases. Jordin cut his teeth making progressive trance as Juventa, before turning to melodic bass music as part of KUURO. Now releasing under his own name, he made his debut on Anjunabeats in May 2020 with ‘something2me / New Day’. Originally released in 2016 by Bien, gardenstate’s Marcus Schössow discovered the track while browsing Netflix. After contacting the Nashville-based indie pop band, their collaboration made its way to Anjunabeats in July 2021.

Included on gardenstate's 'Inspirations' album (released in October 2021), the heartfelt track has seen a new lease of life in recent months. 'The Best Part' has been streamed over five million times as of May 2022, with over 47,000 videos using the track on Instagram Reels, and support in Spotify's 'Chill Tracks' and 'Viral Dance' playlists.

'The Best Part' has also been remixed by Patrice Bäumel and Lost Prince, with Patrice's remix becoming a favourite of UK tastemakers Camelphat, and supported multiple times on BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong.

A legend of Bristol’s dance music scene, Jody Wisternoff remixes Pretty Pink’s ‘Echo’ (feat. Gracie Thunder).

Launching his career in 1986 at the age of 13 as a finalist at the DMC World DJ Championship, Jody is a formative figure in the UK rave scene. He honed his craft at the forefront of UK rave culture, playing warehouses for seminal promoters Fantazia and Universe, and hosting a residency at the iconic Lakota club in Bristol. After a chance encounter in a record store, Jody joined forces with Nick Warren to form Way Out West. The duo rose to fame in the 1990s with several UK-charting singles and a UK dance number one in ‘Mindcircus’, quickly followed by their critically acclaimed 1997 album ‘Way Out West’.

A key figure on Anjunadeep, he co-curates the annual compilation series with James Grant and released his second solo album ‘Nightwhisper’ on the label in May 2020.

German producer Pretty Pink first appeared on Anjunabeats in 2020 with her progressive twist on Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Remember’. She quickly followed up with three singles: ‘Come Back’, ‘Echo’ (feat. Gracie Thunder), and most recently ‘Let You Go’ (feat. Emina Sonnad).

She runs her own label, Wanderlust, as well as Deep Woods: a label, event series and radio show. Pretty Pink recently celebrated the 150th episode of the Deep Woods radio show with a livestream from Regenstein Castle, Germany. She’ll be joining Above & Beyond for their Group Therapy 450 celebrations on September 4 at The Drumsheds London.

"Thomas Oliver has been a friend of the family ever since he appeared on Black Sun Empire's 'All Is Lost' for the first time. Together we wrote 'Soon You’ll Be Gone’ and 'Nothing Without You’, so we definitely wanted another track in collaboration with him on our album. This tune has a very nice feel-good vibe for us, and that is mainly due to Thomas' vocals. We tried to make the instrumental elements fit around it as well as possible. "

In our twentieth anniversary year, we’re welcoming new names to the label as well as some familiar faces. Italian-born, Prague-based producer Spada would fit rather nicely into the latter. 
A tastemaker in the European club scene and sought-after remixer, Spada previously remixed Above & Beyond’s ‘We’re All We Need’, and his rework of Emma Louise’s ‘Boy’ proved to be a weighty addition to Anjunabeats Volume 11. We have long been fans of Vladimir Ershov and his PROFF alias, and we’re pleased to welcome him back with ‘We Believe’, featuring Mokka on vocals.

He first came to our attention back in 2008, when he made his debut on Anjunadeep with ‘My Personal Summer’. Soon after that we gave him a remix on Anjunabeats, delivering a memorable rework of OceanLab’s ‘Lonely Girl’.

Flash forward to the present day and he’s a leading figure in Russia’s electronic music scene, with releases on Silk Music, ZeroThree and Intricate Records as well as Anjunabeats. When not working on his own music, he’s nurturing the next generation of Anjuna talent and is a growing part of our family behind the scenes.
