Kick off the weekend with the collaboration that never was as UK electronic music heavyweights Hybrid and Evil Nine finally join forces (with a little help of yours truly)!

"Icicle Nails" combines Evil Nine's "Icicles" (from their sophomore 2008 album 'They Live!') and Hybrid's single "Nails" (from their latest release 'Black Halo') to turn the latter into the perfect closing track for your party night.

Not quite breaks this time - a mashup of two covers, with Hybrid's version of Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box" meeting the PYLOT remix of Scandroid's cover of "Thriller" by Michael Jackson.

This one I did when Mass Effect 3 was still fresh and its ending heatedly debated.  After his soundtrack for "Moon" Clint Mansell had already reserved himself a spot in my music heart, and his piano-heavy contributions to ME3 were the best thing that could happen. But once again there's nothing that can't be improved by throwing some more Hybrid at it.  :)

Here's something for the weekend! Hybrid's "Take A Fall" somehow feels a little lost on their album - no single, no remixes, not even bootlegs. But not anymore! I decided to spice it up a bit with a little help of another two of my favourite artists. In the bass department, Lee Coombs and Dopamine rock the floor, while Future Funk Squad and Product.01 provide the sweet topping. Enjoy!
