Colombian brothers Dem Boyz return to Unnamed & Unknown for their full label debut, featuring a remix from Brazilian duo Lit Square.

Following their feature on our ‘NYE 2022 VA’, the Casas Brothers, AKA Dem Boyz, are back on the label with a full EP for the first time. Joining them on remix duties, Brazilian duo Lit Square makes their latest first solo appearance since collaborating with 4MATIK on our ‘#4’ VA last year. 

‘Bonus Tracks’ opens the release on a promising note with rolling grooves and rhythmic sub-bass, setting the tone for the rest of the EP. Watertight drum work and crisp percussive layers add plenty of cadence to the mix whilst tonal elements ripple throughout the track. Breaking into the tracks bridges, be ready for quirky melodies and creative vocal cuts leading to punchy drops!

‘NGGYU’ is an instant classic, and you’ll know why at a certain point within the track. Another impressive display of plentiful rolling Tech prowess from end to end, the track’s bulletproof mix of rhythm and musicality is only bolstered further by an iconic vocal arrangement and catchy overall construction. 

Lit Square closes the release with their remix of ‘NGGYU’, steering it in a slightly different direction. Building around an unavoidably catchy bassline melody, the track focuses strongly on the musical element alongside that nostalgic token aspect of the vocal components. Watch out for that mammoth piano solo, what a way to end the EP!
