Singer/songwriter and violinist/pianist Erin Zindle and singer/songwriter and guitarist/pianist Carolyn Striho have a new release “The Bridge '' coming out on June 3rd! "The Bridge" is a beautiful collaboration with lush vocals, folk musings, violins and piano all telling a story of starting over, starting anew. Recorded in Ann Arbor at Big Sky Studios with Geoff Michael, mixed by Jamie Candiloro (REM, Willy Nelson, Courtney Love), and mastered by Greg Albi (Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin), they couldn’t be happier to release this brand new song they wrote together.

Piano Moon is a fiercely soft song with a melody line that is memorable. The song unfolds in a driving piano with desire and raw strength with explosively haunting guitar, mournful cello and shimmery percussion telling a story of the moon alighting and igniting passion in a piano drama. ‘The Echos of a Sunlit Shore’ is sound-art for my final piece for my art course at university, it explores themes of nostalgia, childhood memories, sadness, despair and finally acceptance. Although it’s completely different to things I have made in the past I am truly proud of this piece and what it represents for me, I hope you enjoy :)

Highly regarded as one of the city’s best singer/songwriters, Carolyn’s also an award-winning musician, performer, and poet. From her early days in Detroit to her current evocative music, Carolyn’s alluring vocal delivery with a rock and roll folk eclectic sound is hypnotizing. She was on the Grammy Awards First Ballot 2024 for Best Americana Roots Song/Performance w/Erin Zindle, and also on the Grammys First Ballot in 2022 and 2018. Carolyn has received 11 Detroit Music Awards. She’s toured with poet and rock icon/singer Patti Smith in Michigan, Toronto and in London, England. She’s performed with Don Was, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, The Slits, The Ramones, Iggy Pop, The Isle of Wight, U.K. and in London, U.K. with Yoko Ono, Steve Earle, Tori Amos, Sinead O'Connor, Detroit Energy Asylum and much more. Carolyn’s performed many times in Italy and the U.K. and in Osaka, Japan, where she did a two month residency, Lollapalooza and much more.
