New recordings from a recycled wood shelter in the woods of the finnish fall-out zone. Mostly handmade instruments have been used to mentally and sonically project into the steam-filled cooling towers of ancient NPPs all over the globe. Following the traces of failures we float amid the H2O molecules that have just touched the radioactive cores of human error. We want to fly free like THE CLOUD and rain down onto everyone.

ACRID REIGNS

DIRTY DRONE DEFROST is a handmade stereo drone/noise generator with a very small footprint. Even though it is small in size it generates a huge and raw drone/noise environment. With it’s 8 square wave oscillators grouped to 4 pairs of frequency synced oscillators that can be de-synced with an off-set control to create shifting wave forms. Each stereo channel is fed by 2 of the oscillator pairs and a toggle switch selects either one of the pairs or the rich sum of both. (Beware, the switch is inverted and selects the opposite pair of oscillators!)

The face-plate is made from recycled aluminum with stamped in markings, the knobs are made from black aluminum and the power indicator LED shines in frosty ultraviolet light. The bottom-side of this synth has an inverted print of polar bears scavenging a human trash dump.
