Sorta reminds me of Hatchet or something (I'm not a reader). I don't mind an album like this.

Maybe a more diverse soundset would help this track a little. Really light, fuzzy distortions peering in and out and such. It sounds a bit too copy/pasted as it is.

I'm working on an ambient album now. It's going to be titled "Sounds From Inside The Shrieking Forest" or something similar to that. I'm going to try and tie in the music with a story that's going to be told in the form of a discovery log/list of events in the booklet. It's going to be about a geologist who travels to a forest in the middle of nowhere to record and observe strange sounds of unknown origin. At first, they sound peaceful and calm, but the longer he stays in the forest (IE the farther into the album you get) the more aggressive they start to sound.

I'm thinking of making of geologist go insane as time goes on. This would be shown by progressively strange doodles/sentences in the log book, as well as some field recordings which are occasionally interrupted by mumbling or talking to/arguing with/yelling at imaginary people.

This is a lot of shit to do, if I am going to go through with all of it. I really want to, because I don't think many albums like this has been made so far.

Also, it's all supposed to take place in the 50s/60s, so I'm going to add in some noise to make it sound like it's been recorded onto reel to reel tape.

If the actual audio sounds a bit shitty, you should probably download it and listen to it in something like WMP. For some reason, soundcloud's player really butchers low frequency stuff.
