I made both these beats within days of each other, which is why I decided to use them both together for this remix. Although the samples are very different in terms of their vibe they're chopped in a similar way, and they both have a really airy feel with smooth low end that makes them feel like they're from the same world almost. Hope people like this remix, thought this beat fit the storytelling of the lyrics, feels like a movie the way Nas tells it. I still think 'It Was Written' is a slightly underrated album, comparable to Illmatic in many ways imo, so many great tracks and verses from Nas are still on point.
