ABOUT THE RELEASE

It has been seven years since the release of "Immortal Habits", the album that got Canadian electronic artist Liza Nicklin critical acclaim and a Fenty Beauty sync placement. She has finally decided to share her new material with the world. The album "Revel: Generative" will be released in September and "Generosity of Genius" is the first of two singles to announce it. It has Nicklin's trademark brand of deep house mixed with dub techno, intelligently spiced with uplifting memorable grooves.

This song began with Terry sharing an intriguing Eastern sounding synth and minimal beat with Ken, who added a really solid beat to bring out the strong rhythm of the song. Once they had a solid foundation and skeleton, they shared it with the rest of the Eclectic Collective. I added my five string fretless bass in a dubby line that was inspired by Tez's hot skank part. Then JJ poured his magic into it, too. Stephen came up with the shocking dynamic lift towards the end, and Tez piled on to light it up. 
  Then MD got a hold of it and wrote and sang some of his trademark, fun lyrics and vocals in the first part of the song. Ken, not to be left out of the melodic experience, added the vocals at the end. 
  After we all had everything in the can, the Texas Tea combo of Stephen and Terry produced and mixed the whole thing down. This wasn't their first rodeo mixing a project together, and it really shows in the end quality. They also have several duo projects up on both of their pages that are worth checking out.  
  We think the end result is reminiscent of Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation, two big influences on a few of us. We all hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This is the final song of the project. Again, the text is almost entirely produced by AI. I make two versions available and downloadable: one sung by a female voice, the other by a male.
This time, no one is mocked; the perspective is that of a ‘democratic’ artificial intelligence; everyone will be able to do everything, everything will be within reach, there will be no need for special skills. There is a page on SCloud that struck me: @siennaai. The owner of the profile, in the biographical notes, stating that he only offers AI-generated music, says: ‘There should be no professions with a status quo; either all have such a status or none do.’
