His first contact with music took place early in his childhood when he started with Hip-hop and Tech House.
He felt very inspired by jazz,blues loops wich he associated with house music. 
The produce-ing career started as a hobby in 2009 making deep house and tech house tunes at home.
His passion for underground house music became more than a hobby in 2011. Now his focus is on quality Underground Romanian Techno.

Herodot is no stranger to Club Guesthouse, his involvement with the club came about many years ago, he is now even closer than ever before as he is among those announced as the new residents of the club so, to celebrate the occasion we asked him for a podcast. 

Best known for keeping the party going for endless hours until nobody can dance anymore, Herodot has proven his creativity not only behind the decks, but also as a producer. He owns Unanim Records. And, talking about endless hours, he provided us with an extract from his closing set at the Toi.Toi. party at Guesthouse this April, a night which he ended up closing on a b2b with Topper. We let the music speak for itself.

For the 10th installment of GH Podcast, Arapu crafted a collection of audible experiences, a clever mix that deploys a variety of textures and subgenres, laced with a fine array of eclectic baselines. Arapu’s style involves a deep connection with his records, one that lets him join the dots throughout music to create a fluid, mesmerising journey for the listener. Technical proficiency is present and vital but only part of the picture. It’s as groovy as you’d expect from him to be; getting tied together nicely without sacrificing any effectiveness.  

During the mix, the breakdowns always seem to end at a perfect moment, notching up with energy each time the blunt kick returns. The sporadically surfacing vocals — ethereal and evocative — do the rest of the work throughout the two hours of recording.

Purpose-built to take your mind away from your troubles and into a happier place, our 11th GH podcast instalment comes from Mihigh. His set recorded last year at SNRS48 stirred together an assortment of hypnotic tracks, compiling into a personal and powerful musical vision.

The 2 hours and a half recording brings to the table a peculiar style of story in constant development. You may hear hints of guitar riffs, twisted vocals, an angelic voice choir, spine shivering laughs and a dozen other thrilling scenes or sounds in these tracks — always in the minimal 4/4 structure pace.

2007 is when Sunwaves Festival made its 1st link to a set date and it's celebrated every time since. 1st of May has become an international anthem for a festival long enough to gather people all around the world with one sole purpose: a memorable party where music never stops.
While we can't meet our community on the Black Sea shore this spring, we felt to not let this one pass without trying to reconnect even from our homes.
Sunwaves Festival will go live, with a 24 hours live stream powered by Desperados, partly streamed from Sunrise HUB.
We may skip the usual debut of summer but we'll deliver the same energy by bringing the Sunwaves vibes in your living room.
We do miss you.
And we'll see each other again stronger than before.

GH003 brings you Priku.

Adrian Niculae a.k.a. Priku established himself as a hard working and passionate music creator. He is a member of Sunrise booking since 2007, making his way up to the big gigs through many noticeable Sunwaves performances.

He released on labels such as [a:rpia:r], All Inn, Fabric, Concrete Music and Only 300 Family, his name is also on Cocoon Green & Blue 2011 and Cocoon Heroes compilations.

Throughout he can be seen playing in many important clubs and parties around the world, including Robert Johnson, Amnesia, Kazantip Festival, Tenax, Concrete, all across Europe and as far as the Americas.

In 2012, Bobohalma Ep was released on [a:rpia:r] label. This was a resounding success, highly appreciated by his colleagues in the industry as well as the general public.

2013 is a turning point for Priku. He creates his own label: Motif and releases a new solo – Acoustic Ep under his real name, Adrian Niculae, the name that’s also present on Fabric 72.

Priku's achievements came when still relatively young proving to be extremely talented, when we look at him we can see this sweet and delicate face, however, when we listen to his music, especially his live performances - by definition presenting the core of his identity musically – we call him the “king of basslines”, there is a somewhat adorable contradiction here, sweet face vs dark and very strong music, in the best way possible. That element of surprise and this contradiction makes him an even more fascinating artist.

In 2016 started a new label and series of parties called Atipic, party by which we hold a residency at Guesthouse. This set is an extract of his set at Atipic at the club in March 2019.
