After Theremynt's LP Space Control - a journey into electronic music offered by Jan Richard & Eva Peel, the trip goes on with this new Ep talking about Human and Robot love, one of Theremynt's favourite theme (Rachel Rosen- on the first album was inspired from Philip K.Dick "Do Androids dream of electric sheep aka Blade Runner).
After using English, and Italian, the duet has decided to come back to French to write an electronic pop song in their mother tongue. Tribute to 80's French pop - bands such as Elli & Jacno --this track is definitely what we call 'refrain' or 'ritornello', one of these little melodies supposed to be hummed in the bus or while walking in the streets. Three remixers have given their own re-interpretation of the track, a trippy and Kraftwerkian version by Duet Acid-Washed, an efficient clubby track by young producer Dombrance and a cinematic Chicagoan-house infuenced version by Mike Theis from Gyrls.
This ep is both for domestic use and dancefloor with a taste of sexy frenchness. Enjoy!

Après l'album Space Control où le duo Theremynt offrait un voyage dans l'espace électronique, le duo formé par Eva Peel et Jan Richard propose avec ce nouvel Ep "Robotique de l'Amour" une suite au voyage en revenant sur un de ces themes favoris, les sentiments entre humains et robot, déjà le theme de la chanson Rachel Rosen inspire du roman de Philipp K.Dick (Blade Runner). Après avoir utilisé l'anglais puis l'italien, le duo a decidé de revenir au français, leur langue maternelle pour une pop song en homage à la pop 80's façon Elli & Jacno. Ce track s'affirme comme une ritournelle de celle qu'on fredonne dans le bus ou quand on marche dans la rue. Les remixers ont donné chacun une interpretation très différente, lysergique et Kraftwerkienne pour Acid Washed, efficace et club pour Dombrance, cinématique et Chicagoane pour Gyrls. Ce maxi est du coup aussi bien destiné à une écoute domestique qu'au dancefloor.

Chloe : ‘’We are happy to bring you the third opus of the Lumière Noire collection. This one is a one-way ticket to Los Angeles - Mexico – Paris offered by our beloved mariachis Moderna Y Theus Mago. Immersive slow-tracks, techno tension at its best with sharp acid bass lines.

Behind Theus Mago is hidden Mexican producer Mateo Gonzalez, involved in several dance music projects such as Bufi (Kitsuné / Discotexas), Sonido Fantasma (Turbo recordings) and co-manager of the new label Duro. DJ & producer Moderna started in music as a producer in a noise band [The Static Cult]. She used to work for the prestigious label Ghostly International for a long time. There, she began to evolve by producing and promoting events all over the world, collaborating with artists such as Tycho, Telefon Tel Aviv and Matthew Dear.

Moderna & Theus Mago met in Mexico a day of Ley Seca [when the Mexican government shut all bars and clubs down the entire weekend for voting purposes]. That night, as DJ’s in the city were gig-less, they organized an impromptu “illegal” house party outside the city, with most of the local heroes (Mijo, Sanfuentes, Bufi, Andre VII, Moderna, Max Schmitt, Watty and more).

This EP is the result of the Ley Seca, three tracks of pure modern techno fuelled by a fight for your right to party. ‘Dog Is Calling You’ is an expanding slow mixture of acid & techno sounds, ‘Papa En Roy’ has something effective & functional creating classic techno with an obsessive and repetitive bassline further fuelled  by Moderna's vocals. ‘Asesino Psicotico’  fuses techno energy with a house-tinged groove. Dog Is Calling You (Die Wilde Jagd Remix) then closes the package and the band have reworked Moderna y Theus Mago to perfection bringing something more organic to this technoid track.’’

Moderna Y Theus Mago, Lumière Noire 03 is out on Kill The DJ 1st (vinyl) and 15th (Digital) April 2016.

Following a debut EP on Golf Channel in 2015, Autarkic aka Nadav Spiegel has risen in status alongside his close friends and collaborators Red Axes and Moscoman. His recent debut LP for Disco Halal has garnered critical acclaim. Spiegel clearly has a rare talent as a songwriter, crafting the kind of intelligent, left-field pop music that one usually has to look back to the avant-garde of the 1980s to find.  If things were more downtempo, experimental and psych rock on his first EPs, these tracks for Turbo point squarely at the dance-floor, and have been staples in the sets of not only Moscoman and Red Axes, but in the other rising stars of the underground Israeli scene around labels like Malka Tuti and Fortuna records, as well as the global groove empire developing around Turbo A&R Thomas Von Party’s Multi Culti. Rubin Et Le Paradoxe are French.  So French that we can't find any promotional bio in English, but that doesn't really matter.  Certain bits of inforation coupled with listening to their music are pretty universal;  their love of Pink Floyd and the Alan Parsons Project for example and their love of off the wall dance music which permeated the late noughties. 
A stalwart of that sound and brilliant label in their own right,  Her Majesty’s Ship have called upon their services to release their next EP. As well as that, the Mighty Get a Room! have volunteered their services for remix duties.
The beginning of the track opens like the start of a Disney Film while gorgeous spoken word vocals before normal service gets resumed.  
Get a Room! remixes are rarer than hen's teeth and are genuinely and totally some of the best productions around.
It's always exciting getting the chance to write up a track as good as this.  Psychedelic, with on point production and in a language which British writers don't understand on account of being unable to speak any other language than English. That aside, this track is Killer.

Velvet May returns on “ Tears On Waves” with the 4-tracker EP 
“Unknown Bodies”. This time he is joined by the live duo Years of Denial and the northern-irish artist Autumns who delivered their own interpretation and vision of the tracks in the B side.

"Unknown Bodies" tell us a story, a contorted story of lust and infernal gazes, yet divine that spread infamy and glory, grief and bliss. A story of lost inhibitions and sensations. A story of burning breasts. Now is the time when each flower fades away like incense and sounds and scents turn in the evening air.

The artist wants to show something. A natural desire which finds its fulfillment in the body, but that instantaneously dies at the end of the sensations. Sensations too much strong to last so much time. That’s exactly why he doesn’t never renounce to let go his inhibitions completely, having fear to be burnt, devoured and thrown in the deep end.

On the B side, the original tracks find a completely different vision, but especially a new light, leading the listener to a different path of the same perverse and twisted nature.

Years of Denial is the alter-face of French musician/DJ/ producer Jerome Tcherneyan and Czech performance artist/DJ Barkosina Hanusova. With the use of hardware combined with vocals and a plethora of dub devices, YOD are re-visiting the dark corner of Post Punk, Industrial music movement and rave culture. Its remix fully distorts the mood, introducing a new color and identity, juxtaposing acid sounds and sharp groove elements. The vocal has a new touch, and processed in another way, drags everything to it creating a vortex. Autumns is the solo project of Christian Donaghey, from Derry, Northern Ireland, an outlet for electronic postpunk with a lethal pulse. He delivered a train-shaped remix, making the bass line a key element for the whole track and finding the perfect “carpet” where to express in a powerful and straight groove, based on his beloved Roland 707.

C.A.R. (Choosing Acronyms Randomly) is a musical project conceived by Chloé Raunet, a multi-faceted creative living in London. Her self-confessed crush on too many genres results in a unique blend of glacial electronica, post-punk and warming, introspective pop. 

Following three albums on iconic, queer Parisian label Kill The DJ and UK’s Ransom Note, the live act now consists of herself and Joni Green. This latest combination champions female empowerment, injecting fresh energy and hype into the show. Together, they are building a reputation for pulsing, magnetic, sweaty and unforgettable performances. 

December marked another excursion into uncharted territory with the release ‘avant pop masterpiece’, Anzu. More new songs are tricking their way into the set, and C.A.R.'s next LP is on the near horizon.

A fan of the weirder edges of electronic music, Chloé also DJs and hosts the monthly 'On The Slip Road' show on NTS Radio.
