In My Bones

written & recorded in the span of a few hours with just a guitar and an iphone, this song demanded to be extremely raw and vulnerable. on one level, it's about confusion - not knowing where you stand, not knowing why a connection with a person can come and go so suddenly, and not knowing how someone can so easily take away your sense of control. on a simpler level, it's a break-up song.

this is extremely unlike anything i've written before, probably because i wrote it entirely in garageband

this is the first of a few new songs that i've written and needed to record! the others should be up soon. this is also the first song that i recorded on my new yeti microphone, which i really love - it sure beats the built-in audio on my macbook. i'm still getting used to it but the quality is great. this song was partially inspired by gem club's "breakers," so if you don't know it you should absolutely check it out.
