Electric Assault Records is happy to finally announce the forthcoming release of the debut LP, I Am All, from uber-cult Swedish Heavy Metal band Taiwaz this fall. Side-A consist of four brand new tracks recorded, produced and mixed by In Solitude's Gottfrid Ahman while side-B contains the sole unreleased 1989 demo, featuring the track "Play with the Devil," which was covered by Watain on its "All That May Bleed" single. The Uppsala brotherhood runs deep, as the design/layout was done by Trident Arts and the cover illustration was done by R. Merrisen of Degial.

Death is as young as humanity itself. It accompanies mankind from the very beginning and it is an integral part of life.
As the cultural differences in society have been evolving throughout the centuries, different ways of burying the deceased as well as their worship and access to the dead were incurring. In particular, the emergence of different religions in the world had a crucial influence on funerary rituals, historical and current, as well as on the perception of death. Many cults of death were born...

I have always been fascinated by this topic and that was the reason behind the conception of this work. The LP "The History of Death & Burial Rituals pt1" is the first part of the musicalization of posthumous rituals and the perception of death in different cultures and countries around the world. This is my tribute to death and its great value and importance to man.

In the first part of this musical book we will deal with rituals in the following countries:

Slovakia - ancient burial customs of superstitious and deeply religious villagers still exist in certain areas till today.

Madagascar - dance with Death, in the name of Famadihana.

Mexico - the most famous dead town which once lived though death. Enter the mouth of the ChichenItza well - where people were buried in blood.

Czech republic- "Umrlčí prkna" provide a place for Death through the long and harsh winters, so the earth could accept the bodies in spring.

India – The Towers of Silence. Here one can feel and hear death the most.

China - Hanging coffins on high rocks so nobody disturbs the peace of the dead.

With searing distortion, radical d-beat pace, overblown reverb vocals, HALSHUG leaves no room for subtlety or second-guessing across the eight tracks of their first full-length effort, Blodets Bånd. Formed in Copenhagen two years ago, the riotous young act, HALSHUG, unloads some of the most traditionally-styled but urgently unloaded traditional crust punk/d-beat hardcore to be found. The enraged sentiment of archetypal leaders of the genre, Doom, Anti Cimex, and no doubt, Discharge, and direct influence drawn from Infernöh, Hoax and Death Token, is unapologetic in its presence in the band’s delivery, which, fueled by society’s modern-day ills, finds HALSHUG already in line with Nuclear Death Terror, Wolfbrigade, Skitsystem and the best of the movement’s current top acts. Through only an initial demo followed by their 2013-released Dödskontrol 7”, HALSHUG has amassed a punishing name early in the powerful trio’s lifespan through regional and even more heavily-concentrated European touring, and continues to expand on their live executions in 2014 with more widespread gigs than ever already ongoing and in the works. Following the release of Blodets Bånd, HALSHUG will tour abroad through Europe and will invade North America for the first time in 2015.
