Imaging the present as the only possible state of mind, a juncture of past and future, irreconcilable with anything but the radical present state of being. A flash of emptiness, a floating in the dark sparked Lee Edelman's "No Future - Queer Theory and the Death Drive", Huxley's "Brave New World", J. Halberstam, S. Rankine and L. Berlant.

Inspired by the noises, the voices and the dynamics around us, Cacophony Jams present collages of audio snippets in processes of recycling, reframing and de-contextualizing a variety of recordings. With the integration of recordings into each other, Cacophony reflects the indivisibility of critical "high" theories, modern pop culture, traditional storytelling, and modern concepts of personhood, identity and belonging in today's urban jungles.
