Title track ‘Tribute’ emulates the driving energy of recent hits ‘Brainwasher’ and ‘Touch The Sun’, whilst ‘Mitsurugi’ and ‘In The Talons Of The Big Bird’ offer progressive reprieves with a taste of Eastern melodies.

'The latest release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records is a scintillating package, which brings together two titans of the progressive scene. The EP features two progressive house legends; Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren alongside their collaborators Soundexile and Nicolas Rada. They have both remixed tracks taken from the most recent Hicky & Kalo EP 'Borealis'.

It's been quite a ride for Hicky & Kalo in the last 18 months. The young duo have made a name for themselves in the progressive house scene with a string of quality releases, including a collaboration with Seth Schwarz and releases on Hernan Cattaneo's label Sudbeat and Cid Inc's label Replug. In the meantime, they were remixed by both Rodriguez Jr. and Sahar Z. The reaction to their latest EP 'Borealis' was quite something and the title track was even in the Top 100 Beatport Progressive House for 67 days.

With this powerhouse remix EP now on the way, it is surely the cherry on top of a momentous last 18 months. We hope you enjoy it!'

Rising star Innellea demonstrates his prowess with four diverse, powerful cuts.
In a short time Innellea has made a significant impact. His production is inventive and progressive, gracing dance floors with emotional depth, considered arrangement and pumping rhythms.
His EP opens with ‘Confronted Reality’, which is driven by an oscillating low end, complemented by an emotive melody and a huge riff - tinged with drama throughout. Next up it’s the title track, a morose cut that utilises breakbeat-esque rhythms, piano keys and warped vocals. On the flip The Loss Of Hope’ features beautifully composed, trance-esque layers drift over a driving rhythm - lifting spirits and invoking the Heaven within. Finally, ‘Irreversible’ takes us into the darkness, with spinetingling melodies and hard-hitting drums ...

My modest approach to a classic trance record that was originally released in 2000 and most popular featured on the mix-compilation "In search of Sunrise 2" by Tiesto. Kamaya Painters are Tiesto and Benno De Goeij, part of Rank 1 and co-producer of Armin van Buuren.

I took the two parts which are most essential in the original mix from my perception (the melody in the break and the stabby 1 bar hookline that drags through the entire original track) but changed the order. So the stabby hookline is waiting over 3 minutes to hit ground.
