When does profit turn into greed? 
For misanthrop the answer to this question is rooted in the influence that money can have and it is also the essential inspiration for his long-overdue solo EP entitled GREED OF GAIN. 

And we know you all have been waiting for this! This 4-track EP will be released on Misanthrop’s joint label Neosignal Recordings and is packed with a mixture of everything you could sonically ever ask for. 
The production throughout the whole release is second to none and proves why Misanthrop is one of the most pioneering and distinct producers out there. As usual we leave it to the listeners to judge each track for themselves.

some of the Forbidden Society cuts reworked by some masters within the genre.The release opens with a hypnotizing ''The Clamps'' remix of the label anthem ''Street Justice''.The staggering drums work great with the bassline and intrusive synth blips. The emotive ambiancethat is introduced throughout makes for a great alternation. Second up is signature snare-man ''Donny'' who delivers a banging reword of Forbidden Society's BWM. Hardcore Drum & Bass music at it's finest,  it's all about the drums in this one. South African duo ''Counterstrike'' come up with a remix for ''Sellout''. This is a peak time rework, placing the emphasis on top notch drum-breaks and some funked out elements that  should strike a chord with lovers of the label. Hallucinator are reworking the ever so dark ''NYC Punk''. This fast paced theme is pumped up a notch with great care for the original. Label regular ''Katharsys'' does an adventurous reword of 'Skullcrawler' which stands out in originality. The pack is finished by S9 who creates havoc with his tremendous ''Outlaw'' remix. The sounds of the all knowing machines becoming sentient bubbles away under the distorted vocal samples as huge bass hits pound at your reasoning, leading you seductively into the techno acid line bass wobbles and criiiiiisp snares to get ya neck breakin'. 90s vibes atmosphere and drums set the scene for a low pitched vocal sample which then explodes into a truly alien lead line on the drop, a sound like tentacles engulfing your brain, analysing and feeding. The whole thing thunders along on a paranoiac wave, schizophrenic and angry...

Starting off with eerie old school pads and some golden era jungle breaks this primordial beast slowly evolves into a throbbing tech workout with some glorious reece snarls contorting around punchy as fuck drums. Relentless in its execution, it kills as it thrills.


State of Emergency

Alarms ring out as emergency procedures are implemented. A high energy build up filters away to a single repeating voice before a tsunami of chunky drums and heavily distorted bass tears its way through, shifting and mutating as it goes, with a low end frenzy that sounds like monsters at war.
