The Sao Paulo duo of Brazilian Eric Frizzo Jonsson and Serbian Arjana Vrhovac Jonsson combine their mutual love of minimal leaning house, dub techno, and their Brazilian roots and it is the latter that really sets them apart. Their sets for legendary SP club D-Edge and productions for the likes of Cesare vs Disorder’s Serialism Records imprint bristle with Latin flair. 

This is exactly what has pricked up our ears. From the opening beats and elongated piano notes of ‘Concerto’ their mix for our InSession series confirms there is a universe of minimal music out there waiting to be dug up. This is a deep dive look into a talented duo that winds motive musical elements around tightly tied beats and we guarantee you will come back to this edition again and again.

Getting to play for DISTRIKT was definitely something on my bucket list. I have been attending Burning man for 7 years each year I definitely spend some decent amount of time raving at DISTRIKT always hoping to play the following year, so finally when Ben asked me to play I was super excited. I had the best time playing! the sound is incredible and the vibe is like nothing else. Hopefully, this will be the first of many playing at Distrikt 😁❤

De 2008 a 2012 foi residente do lendário Club Garage em Cuiabá e de 2012 a 2016 proprietário / DJ residente do Nuun Club. Hoje ele é DJ proprietário / residente do Vozz e DJ / produtor da D. Agency.

Adepto ao Scratch Live, trabalhando com o Traktor, ele delineia melhor seu som. Fica evidente com o uso de pequenos detalhes, como loops, bootlegs, remixagens ... sempre seguindo os novos estilos adaptados à vanguarda musical.

Já tocou em alguns dos clubes mais conhecidos, como D-Edge, Warung, Club88, Hoss Club, Clash, Lions, Pacha, A Lôca, Garage, Kiwi, Neo, Hause entre muitos outros. Além disso, também tocou em algumas das maiores festas do Brasil.

Rods Novaes is an expressive DJ at the Mato Grosso’s scene. For more than 10 years he has been collecting musical curiosities influenced by House and Techno music making a wealthy style of sets. From 2008 to 2012 was resident of legendary Club Garage at Cuiaba and from 2012 to 2016 Club Owner/Resident DJ of Nuun Club. Today he is Vozz´s Club Owner/Resident DJ .

Adept to the Scratch Live, working with the Traktor, therefore he delineates his sound better. It gets evident with the use of small details such as loops, bootlegs, re-mixes… always following the new styles adapted with the musical vanguard.

The choice of been a DJ has given to him good concerts at some of the most well known clubs such as D-Edge, Warung, Club88, Hoss Club, Clash, Lions, Pacha, A Lôca, Garage, Kiwi, Neo, Hause between many others. Besides that he played in some of the biggest parties in Brazil.

As a producer since 2008 Rods has released tracks with Wender A, by several labels like: Magnetic Recordings, Nervous Records, Resopal Schallware, Monique Speciale, Little Helpers, Lapsus Music, Basswalk, Pild Records, Crash!, Noexcuse, Tip Tap Records, Orion Muzik, Kinetika, Aula Records, Oblack Label, Beat Therapy, D-edge Records, Digital Traffik, Seta Label, Bondage Music, Lo Kik and many others. In 2011 launched together your own label, the Not For Us Records, a label based on House and Techno Music.
