My guest for this episode is @turna_music.

Turna is a DJ/Producer from Manchester (UK), known for his edits & remixes - most notably his take on Giveon’s „Favorite Mistake“ that has garnered more than 50k SC plays and countless minutes of playtime across international radio stations and DJ sets. 

Besides remixing, Turna has been diving into original productions as of late. His debut single Oneiro/Tilia was released through his creative collective @leftandrightmcr back in April of 2021. His new single DUCKY, an uptempo exploration of 1-ABMI7 AA (the Spectrasonics sample used in Kendrick Lamar’s „Alright“), is set to be released in the near future. For this episode of copypaste Radio, Turna sat down with me for an in-depth interview and provided an exclusive 30-minute guest mix (featuring the currently unreleased DUCKY).

1981 Tokyo is a Chicago-based Producer/DJ and co-founder of WeHateClubs, a collective that throws house party events and provides monthly mixes on Soundcloud.

You might know him from his Flips, Edits and Remixes that have been played on all the shows you know and love. No for real, any show that deals in Future Beats will have a played a Tokyo Flip in the past couple of years.  It’s hard to get around this guy - and why would you want to? His productions are always crisp, clean and go from Hip Hop and R&B to Juke and Amapiano. So whatever you like, 1981’s got you.

For this episode of copypaste Radio, 1981 Tokyo came through with an exclusive Shortcut guest mix. In the mix, he highlights one of his favorite R&B artists, the late great Aaliyah, by playing different edits/ emixes of her songs.
