I've always loved the Ray Charles version of this song (written by Eddy Arnold and Cindy Walker). This cover version was originally recorded for the Tools of the Trade sessions last year. We recorded a few extra songs and I'm just getting around to finishing them off. Phil Santilli on drums, John Short on bass, Duane Wagner on organ and piano, and I'm playing the guitars (my Gibson ES-339 and a lap steel).

Harmonica mix. I created the drums from scratch on the Electribe, I felt the sound of the drums had to be the way I heard them in order to fit well with the harp. I recorded two tracks of harp so I could blend the tones. Felt the harp sound had to be thick in the tones so it could played loud in the headphones without piercing the eardrum. Keven Geddes played the bass and nailed it, made the song.
