For many years, Eren Solak, a Turkish/German singer, producer, lyricist, and pianist, has been weaving together the rich tapestry of the jazz and electronic club scenes. Now, with his project 'Sevdavision', he brings forth a captivating fusion that intertwines the essence of a Turkish soul with the pulsating rhythms of German techno—a concoction that is both danceable and deeply introspective. 

Joined by the eminent band, featuring the virtuosic Yasmin Hadisubrata on keys and the rhythmic mastery of Jan Burkamp on drums, Sevdavision embarks on a journey of inner exploration and cultural amalgamation. 

Through Sevdavision's music, listeners are taken on a journey through melancholic yet hopeful moments of life, each melody crafted with intricate complexity yet irresistibly catchy. It's as if James Blake reached out to Chet Baker to lend his soulful voice over electronic beats, while Louis Cole adds layers of beautiful harmonies. 

'The Old Goes' delves deep into the assimilation of struggle, chaos, and inner darkness, expressing the raw emotion that comes with confronting one's demons. 

'For Now' describes the moment when the gravity of past emotions pulls you back in. That feeling you need and want to do something about it, but know that you shouldn't. And so you wait as long as you can and simply observe - for now. 

'Pazar' describes a vibrant depiction of a Turkish bazaar/market. For the lyrics, strangely enough, only vegetables and fruits came to mind. Didn't imagine it like that, but it's apparently about a vegetarian market. Sevdavision's 

'For Now' EP, a mesmerizing blend of musical genres and cultural influences, marks its second release on Cacao Records, joining a catalog of eclectic sounds that push the boundaries of creativity and expression.

From the vibrant heart of Rio de Janeiro emerges ALEH, a singer and multi-instrumentalist whose growing reputation has seen him closer with titans of the Brazilian music scene, including: Cassiano, Banda Black Rio, Sandra De Sa, and Seu Jorge. With a discography already boasting singles that have graced national television, ALEH is no stranger to success. His recent foray into London's studio scene, partnering with producers Juan Laya and Jorge Montiel, has proven to be a fertile ground for innovation, merging his distinct Brazilian vision with their production expertise.

The fruits of these collaborations are vividly showcased in their latest single, "Musa." This release offers a fascinating duality. The original version is a masterclass in fusion, a West Coast-infused Disco Funk sound that's seamlessly blended with a distinctly Brazilian flair. It conjures an intriguing sonic image, as if Marcos Valle were to jam with P-Funkadelic – a bold and exciting combination that's both familiar and refreshingly new.

The alternative version of "Musa" delves into a different, yet equally compelling, sonic landscape. Here, ALEH and his collaborators explore the deeper spectrum of Afro/Brazilian/Electronica. With hints of a "Favela Funk" sensibility, the track is elevated by a jazzy sophistication and an array of brilliant processing. It's a testament to the three artists' ability to push boundaries and create something truly unique.

"Musa" is a powerful testament to ALEH's, Juan & Jorge's artistic growth and their willingness to experiment. The "bipolar" nature of the release isn't a flaw, but rather a strength, showcasing the versatility of ALEH's talent and the exciting potential of his collaborations with Laya and Montiel. What links Moby, Snap and Whitney Houston? The answer is New York songwriter Toni Colandreo. They wrote "Loves Gonna Get You" for Jocelyn Brown (as sampled by Moby in "Go" and Snap in "The Power") and also this song, "Love Will Save The Day". The "Whitney" album that the original recording featured on was a massive record for Kevin McKay in the late 80s, and the original Jellybean production (and David Morales remixes) were in constant rotation on his turntables. His many visits to London's Roast parties (where the dancefloor reciprocates his love of Whitney) led to an edit of the original and now, this cover version. Wrapping the iconic topline in tough beats, driving bass and some killer chord stabs, Kevin has taken this funky 80s jam into house heaven. Every time we've seen it drop, it has gone off!
