Caché Sessions 002: Madison | LST

Newcomer to the scene & Leitkultur resident, Seth Magoon, is a house & disco obsessive who prides himself in stringing sets together extemporaneously based on feeling and those feelings alone. With his no frills, purist approach you can always count on him to lay down an eclectic mix spanning the genres of house, disco, & techno.

He's a vinyl fanatic who's infectious love and knowledge for the music has not gone unnoticed, as in the past few months he has increasingly played DIY parties and at venues such as SIXTY LES, PHD, The 303 @ Louie & Chan, Bossa Nova Civic Club, & Output’s Rooftop.

Caché Sessions 003: Seth Magoon

Joyfully floating just under the radar, Bruce has - in short order - established himself as a world class selector and DJ since his first nightclub residency at the age of 19 in his hometown of Philadelphia. In the time since, his unique ear for timing and biological predisposition for 'the funk' has taken him across the country and abroad to share his talent and love.

In 2013 Bruce followed his ear and relocated to New York city where he, again, made his mark, specifically with his two year residency behind a garage door at Kinfolk studios on the then-emerging Wythe avenue in Williamsburg. 

Today, Bruce is in New York, percolating just below the surface.

Caché Sessions 004: DJ Bruce Minimix

Razor-N-Tape is the Brooklyn-based duo of JKriv and Aaron Dae. Brought together out of a mutual love of all things groovy, the pair founded their eponymous record label in 2012, building a 30-release-deep catalog over the past 4 years that has helped shape the sound of modern NYC disco. Their DJ style is an effortless blend of old and new, mixed with a smile and signature feel-good flare!

Caché Sessions 005: JKriv & Aaron Dae

Justin Strauss has had a career that reads like a Who’s-Who of the music scene, spinning at nearly every dance club that you’d ever want to go to. Starting as DJ at New York’s legendary Mudd Club, he spun his way through The Ritz, Limelight, Area, Tunnel, M.K., Life, Centro Fly and more, pioneering his own distinctive sound, and becoming one of the most sought-after remixers and producers not just in New York, but in the world. He has worked with the gamut of artists - Depeche Mode, Sergio Mendez, Tina Turner, , B-52s, Luther Vandross, Malcolm McClaren, Skinny Puppy, Goldfrapp, Blood Orange, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, to name a few (see full list) – and on over 200 records! Still one of the most in demand remixers and Dj's on the scene today.

For Daniel Leseman & Junktion (Hans Peeman), successful producers on their own merits and friends since childhood, a collaboration was inevitable. The success of it of course never is, but their house sound infused with disco and a lot funk has been proven to be very infectious.

After the infamous Detroit Swindle signed them to their Heist imprint and released the booming Kill Frenzy EP their name was established firmly to quick growing broader audience. Resulting in request for Dj-sets across Europe & the America’s, with personals highlights on Glastonbury, LoveBox and Output New York.

Their first vinyl release as Fouk, on their own created Outplay Records was met with great enthusiasm, the brilliant reactions to ‘Stuff Your Dad Liked’ and ‘Cat Lady’ propelled Fouk and Outplay firmly into the scene as the ‘one to watch’. Following swiftly on, they produced a formidable remix for Lay-Far on the Swedish Local Talk Records. Caché Sessions 006: Fouk

Quentin Harris has become one of the most in-demand remixers in the world, adding necessary club sheen to R&B vocals, house tracks and frequently turning the proverbial turd into a polished diamond. No wonder he’s been called on to remix everyone from Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey to Femi Kuti and Blaze. In addition to “Don’t You Forget About Us” from Mariah, and “Not Like Crazy” by Jill Scott, one of his benchmark rubs was a sneaky re-production of Leela James’ “My Joy”, transforming her dynamite blues jam, into classic deep house. He says he never thought it would cause such a splash. “I had no idea that “My Joy” would turn into what it turned into. The records I really loved and had the most fun working on, like Justin Timberlake’s “What Goes Around,”, stayed under the radar. You know, I never know. I just do what feels good.”
