On November 10, 2015, the 40th anniversary of the legendary sinking, the three-time JUNO nominated Canadian vocal quartet mark the occasion with a new, intensely moving and completely 100 percent a cappella tribute and video release of folk icon Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”.
 
Toronto’s Cadence take you back to that fateful day 40 years ago (November 10, 1975), with stunning vocal sharpness and instrumental imitation this collaborative music and video project pairs Cadence with world renowned multi-award winning Ukrainian sand animation artist Kseniya Simonova – winner of Ukraine’s Got Talent. Together, they tell the tale of the 29 sailors who lost their lives on Lake Superior four decades ago.
 
The new track was arranged Ross Lynde, recorded by Cadence at Own Your Voice Studio and mixed and mastered by Kai Koschmider at Keen Music, Toronto. Performers on the recording are Carl Berger (founding member and current manager), Ross Lynde, Lucas Marchand and Kurt Sampson.
 
The current line-up for Cadence is David Lane (baritone/bass), Ross Lynde (tenor), Lucas Marchand (tenor) and Kurt Sampson (bass/vocal percussion).
