Luciano is a cornerstone of Chilean and global electronic music, creator of a unique sound that mixes the evocative power of South America with avant-garde electronic music streams, both from Europe and Detroit. 
Founder of Cadenza Records, a label that for over 20 years has edited artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Petre Inspirescu, NSI, Rhadoo, and Thomas Melchior.
He has also participated in important labels such as Peace Frog, Perlon, Bruchstuecke, Klang Elektronik, and Mental Groove.

Side A1 - Barriere de Lumiere is a full length cut of the EP that takes us on a 15-minute journey with different layers of vocoders and synthesized textures flowing on a solid 'ridim' of bass and percussion. This track is born from different analog jams without software edition.
Side B1 – BipBopBap brings us 8 minutes of energy for the dance floor. An intense Afro-Latin groove, accompanied by a rhythmic ostinato in the voices, together build the tension necessary for the dance floor.
The remix is ​​by Chilean producer Felipe Venegas, head of Drumma Records. Felipe has a close relationship with Cadenza and Luciano, embodied in several productions by Felipe for Cadenza.
The remix is based on an arpeggios game that develops organically, integrating more the melodic factor and the dreamy landscapes—an ideal track for those dawns in the club, when light enters through the windows.

Luciano - Barriere de Lumiere

Luciano has arranged a special series of four releases as part of the celebrations for the fifteen years anniversary of his own Cadenza Records, launching the first one to begin the festivities. Each episode is coming out in a different season of the year; the first one, with the catalogue number 118, is the chapter dedicated to the summertime and contains 5 enchanting tracks with an exquisite sound. This series is just one of the astonishing surprises that Luciano has set aside for the birthday of his beloved label.
The show begins with “The Amazing Lilou”, a crispy ariose tune with elaborated percussions and calypso-flavored synthesizers. “Hiding Hearts” is a latin prelude with pleasant guitars and restful melodies, flowing with joy and peace. “Nabusima” is another Caraibic spell, with noteworthy carefully mixed drums and elevating harmonies. “Magik Mechanics” explores complex broken beats and electronic textures, drawing a colored narration in between a fairy tale and a sci-fi movie. Finally, “Tirana del Oriente”, as disclosed by the title, is a trip into the Oriental ardent magic. A collection of five long summery compositions to accompany our hot pleasing days from the dawn till the dusk, holding our hands during a never ending daydream.

Sequentia 2 is the second chapter of the four fold composition that Luciano has arranged as part of the celebration for Cadenza’s 15th anniversary. Every release is dedicated to a season of the year, and this autumn one, consisting in dimmer tones and snug vibrations, displays all of Luciano’s unique productions skills and his unrivalled touch on the mixing desk.
The initial suspended piano lullaby of “Sphere” brings us to a warm hearth where all the waveforms connect together to make us feel at home, in celestial peace. “Idilicia” is the perfect musical score for an out of space epopee, in which frosted acoustic drums sustain a copious mantle of analogue synthesisers and twiggy artificial harmonies. The sophisticated phrasing “Aether” is a gentle journey above full-bodied bass lines that exudes a romantic tale, flowing into idyllic sanguine chords. At the end, the uplifting tumultuous ballad with a mystical folk aftertaste named “My Fantasy”, bonds exquisitely the sweet taste of a vagrant guitar with hefty deep frequencies and a cluster of compelling Latin percussions; through this thick charming groove, the melancholic magnetic voice of Bastian Baker accompanied by a joyful scintillating choir unwind our souls and our tomorrow. Bastian is a Swiss gifted singer and songwriter, who, at only 18 years old, made his first appearance at the prestigious Montreal Jazz Festival.

The marvellous Chilean blooded "Llovizna", produced by the talented Felipe Venegas & Francisco Allendes was originally released in 2009 on Cadenza 40th vinyl release. We are delighted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its publication with a crisp remix by the mighty Luciano and a rework hot off the press by its original writers. Furthermore, there will be another heavyweight remixer,a big surprise and an appreciated comeback: Loco Dice need no introduction, and his remix of this Cadenza classic leaves us speechless. A magnificent bond of the original latin vibes and astonishing peak-time sound manipulation with a relentless pace. The remixes and the rework will be released both on a vinyl E.P. and in digital format.
"Llovizna" is a track with an indissoluble bound with Cadenza's South America roots, a bound perpetually fortified by the origin of many of the artists involved with the label, and by the choice to host amazing massive events in Chile and in the rest of the continent. A funky bass line and full- bodied reverberating jazz drums make out Luciano's bubbly and shiny remix. The cutting edge climactic sequencing of its synthesisers and the seasoned use of percussive breaks and fills exalt the emotional interlude of the folkloric female Latin chant, just before a fully fledged dancefloor oriented restart.
The rework delivered by Felipe and Francisco starts off banging with a resolved bass drum, rattling shakers and fierce hi-hats. Subtle melodies slowly raise from its minimalistic framework revealing in advance all the sweetness of its Andean singing. A majestic rework, which resonates far beyond from a dj tool aftertaste.
