The fourth installment in our mix series sees London’s own high-flying supercar enthusiast, Sean Galvin, take the wheel! Over the past decade, Sean has scoured every corner of Discogs, unearthing rare gems along the way. A true digger at heart, he credits RPR Soundsystem, Ricardo Villalobos, and Onur Ozer as his primary inspirations, having followed them across the globe since he was just 17.

With sharp mixing skills and an impeccable sense of style, Sean delivers a romper stomper of a tech house set that’s nothing short of sublime. Do not sleep on this one!

The April Steamy Selects on Voices Radio. Ahead of her first Unruly event, it was a pleasure to invite Trixie to the studio this month. The Wax Material founder and Neotropiq / Mui Mui Records resident brought a fresh bag of vinyl, sprinkled with some unreleased goodies. Lovely stuff!

Steamy Selects 004 - Steamy Bumplings & Trixie

Fabio Donia, aka Pabie, is a DJ from Milan scene since the early 2000s.
Started his career at the age of 18, he was a constant presence in the Milan underground
scene and resident for realities like Frames, Sorgente Sonora and from 2016 to 2018 he was
Co-Founder and Resident of Soundproof, series of monthly daytime events in the
suggestive venue of Masada, an old typography reconverted in a Library and club
association. In the recent times, he is an active part and resident dj of Opal collective, where he
constantly share decks with new locals and international underground artists. 

In his own words : “This podcast is a “freestyle” recording made in a night of 2023, using 2 Technics MK5 turntables, an Isonoe Rotary mixer, SR booth monitors, and a Klipsch Soundsystem. It’s a spontaneous set with only vinyl that I don’t usually play but like to collect for listening at home or simply because of the emotional atmosphere they create. The recording starts with a dark and spooky ambient sound and moves into more mystical tones, featuring a one-sided conversation between a girl and a character named George. The second part mixes organic sounds with electronic trip-hop, featuring more instrumental sections that build up to a surprising final track that carries “a message” for everyone.“

Numbers Vol.17, a special summer edition marking a standout moment in the labels ongoing journey through cutting-edge minimal and deep-tech sounds is here. Doubling the energy, unlike the usual 4-5 track format, Volume 17 delivers a powerful 9 track collection carefully curated by the label head u z z v, to showcase a broad yet cohesive spectrum of todays underground movement. The release includes works from Pako Ramirez, Eddie Cortès, Vazdra, Daniella Font, Davide Marsala, Nando X, Macassi, Wotz, Fred Dekker and J.Wheel. Each bringing their own vision and unique sound palette to the series. The Numbers Series is built around a simple but powerful idea: strip back the noise and let the music speak for itself. Each track is titled only with a number, in this case from 0075 to 0083, emphasizing the sound over names, egos or expectations. This minimal approach reflects the labels ethos: focus on quality, consistency and timeless groove. Expect crisp grooves, hypnotic textures, and floor-focused energy throughout, a perfect soundtrack for long summer nights and deeper moments alike.

Estamos muy entusiasmados de presentar el primer cartucho de esta serie junto a nuestro colega DJ Try. Esta serie estara dedicada a explorar el trabajo y la visión de curadores emergentes, artistas y  amigos. 

DJ Try, miembro del colectivo Historias Pasadas, es un gran curador musical que esta lejos de encasillarse en un solo género.  Ha musicalizado ciclos como VG+ x Avant Garten, Sesión Fuga, Stueys x Feuer, Animatek, entre otros.

En sus propias palabras : "Dj Try o Dj Intentar. Es lo que hago desde que empece a querer ser Dj y también es lo que hago en general en mi vida. Con mi familia, con mis amigos, con el amor ,con el laburo, con el arte, con mi salud, con mi cuerpo, con mi cabeza, y con mi espiritu. Algunas veces las cosas salen bien,otras salen mal.Algunas veces pienso que van a salir mal, otras veces siento que van a salir bien. Pero siempre con las ganas de hacer,o de intentar hacer."

Este primer cartucho reúne varios años de escucha y algunos otros de colección; una mezcla de temas que, como él, buscan seguir una línea sin perder la intuición.

We're very excited to present the first episode of this series alongside our colleague DJ Try. This series will explore the work and vision of emerging curators, artists, and friends.

DJ Try, a member of the Historias Pasadas collective, is a talented music curator who is far from pigeonholed into a single genre. He has created music for series such as VG+ x Avant Garten, Sesión Fuga, Stueys x Feuer, Animatek, among others.

In his own words: "Dj Try or DJ Intentar. It's what I've been doing since I started wanting to be a DJ, and it's also what I do in general in my life. With my family, with my friends, with love, with work, with art, with my health, with my body, with my mind, and with my spirit. Sometimes things go well, sometimes they go wrong. Sometimes I think they're going to go wrong, other times I feel like they're going to go well. But always with the desire to do, or to try to do."

This first cartridge brings together several years of listening and some more from the collection; a mix of songs that, like him, seek to follow a line without losing intuition.
