Beautiful was written about Nicky’s mother.
A strong, independent and well rounded woman who has been through a lifetime of hell. This can, however, not be seen at first glance. Along with her many years of fighting and scars, has come a great ability to hide every weighted burden. 
With a heart more pure than gold, she will go to the ends of the earth to help those, who wouldn’t spend any more than two seconds on her. 
She often feels run down by the world, as she always gives but rarely receives.

Therefore, Nicky wrote this song to remind her, that behind the strength and structure, is a glorious, kind and beautiful soul.

Through this song, she wants people to relate to the fact that no matter what they have been through or are going through at the moment or in the future, they will always remain beautiful.
