This is the second collection of our songs, lyrics written by Tafadzwa Comer and music and production by Caesar Winebrenner featuring guitar cameos by Doc Twang and Todd Veith. A weaving loom of emotions through music, land marking personal tragedies, loss and recovery. The continued anthology, an audio polaroid collection of our lives together and of Fadzies past, the creation of which endeared us, through almost everything. Sung in a mix of Shona and English, a blending of traditional roots African and American Jazz, Rock and Pop music.. there is something for most everyone to enjoy. Recalling a recent time when people were willing to lie from their platform about a whole race and community in order to shock and maintain control of their own people whom they deem as dumb and manipulatable. With even less challenge this continues and everyone now is subject to blatant injustice when they can just make up whatever unchecked. Wake up, your not immune.

A bit of a love ballad for the lonely nerd in us.

Ping My Heart

One of Fadzie and I's favorite tracks. I believe she was singing about dealing mental illness. We had magic, there are literally over a hundred tracks like this we did over time. I gave up on her and I going anywhere with music beyond the pleasure of writing and hearing it. She was not built to handle the stress and pressure from that kind of business. It would have ended badly. So we wrote music for us, and it helped us through a lot.

This was a song that made Fadzie and Shamiso dance every time it came on. Fadzie singing and me on the instruments. The happy song. I hope it does the same for others.

Something Fadzie and I put together last summer. Fadzie singing in Shona, I think I may have sang a bit too, and me on the instruments. One of our favorites.

One of the last tracks we were working on before Fadzie started having, trouble. We didn't get to finish it. But it would have been great. Her and I as usual. Writing songs together. However she never got to go back and really flush out the lyrics beyond the beginning, mostly raw. Still though, it has a nice vibe. Somehow abandoned, sadly incomplete.

The scene is out on the front lawn, a small family tearing apart, a grieving woman and child in the wake.. in music. Not based on an event, it is just what this came out like when we started writing and talked about the song. A scene that probably plays out in reality all too often. I hope it touches someone.

a remake of a song called Sweet Home, but with new lyrics. Fadzie never explained what the lyrics meant, but simply added the phrase ot it "Google It" after I asked. So this is the name of the song. :)

This track is about not  counting yourself out, even when it appears impossible.

The song is a story of how it takes a whole village to raise a child. I love the message it is trying to say.

A strange groove that I ended up liking a lot. A last minute addition to the album, the akward but then cool, and eventually great thing about it. I hope you like it too.

 Recently my daughter took interest in music and I revived my old chops to teach her(her mother and I had made alot of music together, she was from Zimbabwe so much of the older content is sung in Shohna dialect).
