That aside

This is a long awaited remaster I wanted to do, after seeing so many amazing covers of this song and especially after the success of A Soul for a Soul. Lethal Deal B-Side is one of my favorite passion projects, it’s one of my favorite themes that I’ve ever composed and I think you guys like it too, so I wanted to do it better, much better than before. At least I hope so.

Berättelsen om Bongo Drottninggatan

Det var en kall kväll i Stockholm när de första bongoslagen ekade mellan höghusen på Drottninggatan. Ingen hade planerat en konsert, men rytmen tog över staden som ett hemligt uppror. Mitt bland ljusreklamer, tunnelbanans dån och gatans eviga rörelse reste sig ett spontant jam – en ritual för de som vågade lyssna.

Bongos och congas blandades med elektriska riff som studsade mellan betongväggarna. Saxofoner började yla i motvindens tunnlar. Basen vibrerade som om hela Sergels torg förvandlats till en resonanslåda. Trummor smälte ihop med stadens brus – bussar, sirener, fotsteg – allt blev musik.

Det var som om själva Drottninggatan, med sin historia av fest, kaos och tragedi, släppte ut sin själ i ett febrigt samba-jazz-ritual. Rytmerna gick i cirklar, i kaotiska processioner, som en nattlig karnival som aldrig kunde stoppas.

Bongo Drottninggatan blev mer än en platta – det blev ljudet av Stockholm när fasaderna spricker och gatan själv börjar tala.
