Plasmodia presents Tesi Tura V.A., its first record release. This compilation gathers 6 tracks that blend the sonic purpose and narrative intention of the vocal interpretation framed in the Colombian electronic music movement. 

Tesi Tura V.A. incorporates voices of the artists and moves through the reverberated melodies of darkwave, the sharp rhythms of juke, the vigour of drum n bass, the hypnotic sounds of techno and the courage of neorave.

This release proclaims the voice as an enriching element for its capacity to be moulded, altered, reinterpreted and deconstructed through different styles and methods of musical production.

Plasmodia is an electronic music label that establishes intersections between artists, musical styles and communities from Latin America.

This label, founded by Didacta and Ritornelo, is inspired by the organic cytoplasmic structures that slime mould forms when it connects multiple cell nuclei to unfold in the environment. Under that premise, the label proposes the use of these bonds to strengthen the electronic movement of the region as a symbiosis of sorts. 

Thus, Plasmodia does not seek to pigeonhole itself in a specific musical genre. Instead, it seeks to highlight the diversity of the electronic spectrum that inhabits Latin American latitudes.

Nox Invicta EP es la segunda entrega de cuatro cortes producida por Didacta. Allí, el productor colombiano construye una narrativa progresiva en la que se entiende a la noche como ciclo biológico y proceso de confrontación personal. 

Nox Invicta  se caracteriza por la intersección de ritmos y la presencia de coros femeninos en las pistas. Por otra parte, la gama de influencias del disco comprende raptor house, deconstructed dembow, UK Funky, y guaracha technera.

Whatdufaque?! Dutch artist Renée Van Trier is back on Swiss label CAF? for another record! Following her first album released in early 2020, she comes back with "HUMBLE," the soundtrack of her new eponymous show performed at De Pont Museum (NL) and Arsenic (CH).

"At birth you are a promise, but at the same time also the greatest possible risk." Inspired by children's dances on TikTok where happy facades coexist with exploitative backgrounds, Renée Van Trier creates a fantasy world that's anything but Disneyland. You're invited to experience its soundtrack, taking you through dark atmospheres, eerie voices, glitched techno, and uplifting climaxes. Over the course of the 11 tracks, Renée Van Trier morphs into a dolphin, a puppet, and many other different characters, maintaining a blurry border between amazement and creepiness. Everyone wants the best for their children, but sometimes it doesn't end well.

¿Alguna vez te has detenido a contemplar algo y te has sentido abrumado por su belleza, su exuberancia, su vitalidad? A veces, nos encontramos frente a cosas que parecen desafiar toda lógica, que nos hacen cuestionar por qué son como son: su sonido, su tamaño, su forma, su aroma, su sabor. Son como anomalías en la realidad, algunas de ellas tan maravillosas que nos hacen reflexionar sobre nuestra propia existencia, mientras que otras parecen estar fuera de lugar, aunque necesarias para mantener un equilibrio.

Y luego están esas otras anomalías, las que la sociedad nos ha impuesto: cómo pensamos, cómo nos vestimos, cómo actuamos, nuestro color de piel, nuestra estatura, nuestra complexión, nuestra voz, nuestros sentimientos, incluso por lo que no sentimos. Nos hacen sentir como si fuéramos seres fuera de lo común, simplemente porque no encajamos en los moldes establecidos. Cualquier cosa que hagamos parece confirmar nuestra condición de anomalía.

A veces, las mayores y más perjudiciales anomalías son celebradas, se vuelven históricamente relevantes, pero su legado puede ser devastador, ya que erosionan nuestra identidad y nos hacen sentir inferiores. Nos frustra sentirnos impotentes ante estas grandes anomalías, incapaces de corregirlas. Sin embargo, aunque no podamos eliminarlas por completo, podemos iniciar un cambio, sembrar una idea que despierte y motive a las futuras generaciones a comprender que ser una "anomalía" no es malo.

Ser diferente no es una maldición; de hecho, es lo que evita que todo se desmorone. Es hora de abrazar nuestra singularidad, de reconocer que la diversidad es lo que enriquece nuestro mundo y nos impulsa hacia adelante.
