Text:
It’s late but still very hot.
Sweaty, sticky and stinky. Very noisy also.
Occasional trains shake the concrete structures above, while the city constantly buzz in the background. 
Insects in black noisy clouds cover every possible light source. They vibrate in unison harmony with the buzzing lights.  
They fall on the ground and crackle when you step on them. crack
It’s dirty. Full of scrappy posters and cigarette butts. The atmosphere is sunk in sour smoke, loud breath and thick street stink. 
A rhythmical thunder of passing train explodes again. 
I walk through a bunch of smoky night food sellers and a continuous stream of loud motorbikes. A crowd of people stand in between two huge sky train columns. They squeeze close to the concrete walls like a pile of colorful mushrooms.
ah, it’s Café Müller. 
I see the big neon sign shining above the loud crowd. They reflect the yellow light and echo the sounds. 
Another loud, guts-shaking train passes-by above, but nobody notices. 
Oh... it’s so hot. I don’t want to squeeze through all these sweaty bodies. But the only way to get inside is through the sea of elbows and shoulders.  
I’m inside. music. It’s cold, at last. You feel the movement of cool wet air on your sweaty face. I take a breath.
I stand on a soft carpet but I can’t see the pattern, it’s too dark. The only light here is reflected from the colorful ceiling mural. Something very complex there, whatever... 
The ceiling is leaking into columns and connects with the soft carpet. So many of those columns. A hundred? Too many. They seem all different. I don’t look at them, I try to find some reference point in here but I can’t. 
I can’t see shit. it’s too dark. At least it's cool in here.
I walk a few steps forward. Are there speakers inside the columns? Must be. The music is literally everywhere, except the carpet, which abruptly absorbs the rhythm. 
It’s so soft and silent.
I don’t know how big is this space. It’s long, I don’t see its end. I can’t separate bodies from the columns, I don’t know where the exit is, I don’t know how long I’m here. 
I lean to a column. I don't have to watch. I feel. It’s safe, I can hold on it. It sings to me. 
Another train passes by above our heads, my knees vibrate.
I close my eyes.

1. Space:
the space is grey 
there is no colour in they
it is a room with no shapes,
a continuous edgeless grey

you can feel the room through its sound, 
noise fuzzes around
everything bounces waves
light buzzes, click clack zip zap

there is no height,
it doubles and doubles 
and three floating gas bubbles
emit all the light from the right

the left is dark
it has the texture of a tropical bark
sweating floors and walls are apart
inbetween you can feel an unpredictable flash

the DJ is a dancer
mixing with body motion
while dancers feel the notion
spinning like a flying saucer

3. Art:
The cover art was inspired by the game Lidar: "You are in a dark space, you can't see anything. You only have a lidar scanner with which you can scan the area. You wander through the corridors in the hope of finding a way out of this gloomy place."
The image shows Satria's version of the scanner. The text in the top left corner spells "Imaginary Parties" in Surat Ulu, an ancient writing system from Sumatra, Indonesia.

Credits:
1. Lucas Muñoz Muñoz (1983) works in the field of art and design. Through craft and travel, his work is mainly based in Madrid, Spain. His practice explores redefinitions of the functionality and materiality of use-objects, spaces and engineering. Working out with his hands a field that intertwines the need for use of our daily-life artifacts with the capacity they have to carry and embody meaning from a creative and critical approach.
