Hip Hop of MK that has an emphasis of commonplace story telling. Blues, Funk and Psychedelic Sounds that may evoke feelings of nostalgia, revelations and prophecy. Beginning in 2012 as free spiralling raps that found form in the work of artists local to Milton Keynes. The project has since evolved to include collaborations with artists across timezones and genre. 

An archive of moments. collected for sometime; oftentimes improvised, the script of MK Street Poetry revolves around being at odds; either with ourselves; or this world; and still finding a way to keep moving.

HueyT: It’s an essence to the soul behind the mask - sometimes you need to embody something to keep yourself grounded ya know..

With the 1st track ending with a biblical (Old Testament) sample - from which I’m told is in the book of Genesis. We are guided into the midpoint of the project to an explosive transition into an eerie key’s-like🎹 sounding production by the phenomenal @prodbyjobe as we open up ‘Septuagiant’ with a strong and almost magic like feel to the track - we really see the completion of this project, as the two chambered single brings it all together with polarising perspectives “beholding” Huey and Jobe’s ‘Day & Night’ from both ends of their world.

Two track single Day & Night starts off the debut collaboration between @hueytknewsumn & @prodbyjobe.

Starting off with a chunky 4min runtime on ‘Lone Ranger’ sampling a musky guitar, layered with a gong-like symbol, complimented with a lower layer of sound design which aligns with the good ol’e HueyT lyrics were all a custom to. If it’s your first time experiencing his music, welcome and take a seat. If it feels as if someone’s thrown a book at your head.. dont worry it’s Huey initiating the getting to know between him and who he likes to call “the beholder” - after getting the inside know of what the SONAR camp are up to, I’ve come to find that Huey is tact in his reach between the beholder and him. His acknowledgment towards his “beholders” is a long term one and hopes to make you feel comfortable to come back again when taking in his music. We quote him in saying.

HueyT: “I’m well aware my music can be a lot and quite daunting at times. I think it’s between now and my self discovery as such.. I catch up with myself, gathered in fragments - ‘pieces of a man’ type shit… I already have so much material buried in salt it was a journey in itself. I wanted to show that I’m not whole/Holy, while still showing you I’m that niqqa - (whatever that means to me). All I know is I had to burn it down into two chambers and embody the two halves like Day & Night - I chose a Cowboy and a Priest as my two fictional vessels
