Cainah - Dreamstate

A series where I ask a DJ to send me a 30 minute mix for me to edit in my own way. The theme of this mix is stages to warehouses. We draw attention to the UK's dying club culture and the impact that the loss of grassroots, local venues will have on music culture and the rave scene. 

We take you initially on a journey back to the 1990s/2000s when the rave scene was passionate and lively, through to the closures of venues across the UK, to the remergence of illegal raves/warehouse raves. We conclude with an important message about the cost of losing our local venues - urging people to go to their more local promoter's events.

If you venture to my instagram, you will notice a post where we curated photographs of venues that have closed with captions from people within the DnB community/family. These venues were special places and this is an opportunity to commemorate that for others.
