i have got so comfortable here, in my endless years of winter
the cold
it holds me when im low
the dirge it calls me home
becomes a gentle reminder of girl who once was

havent seen the trees since eleven
cant imagine a heaven
mind was closing by seven
heart was broken by ten, and i let the pieces slice me apart
now im frozen
stuck in days long gone as i sing my sweet december song
but tired, i ask myself

what if sunlight came a little early?
would you be scared?
how would you prepare on a planet without fear?
where the cold dont last in this world
cant freeze-frame the past in this world
and the worries cant talk in your ear
would you welcome spring?

and the flowers, all the rain
the splatter may drive me insane
not used to all the green, and it hurts my eyes
the shine is a surprise
am i ready?

think i miss the shocking snow
and the sweet embrace of pillows in the dark
the loneliness on which i would embark with joy
or something so much deeper...
think i miss the reaper
can i handle living in color?
will i someday wish for summer?
