National Geordie treasure Richy Ahmed is undoubtedly an original brother and integral cog in the Hot Creations machine and since his emergence alongside the crew and subsequent blowing up of the scene, Richy has become one of the most sought after and hard­working DJs on the circuit. Now honing his production skills to a fine point, it’s no surprise he’s been showcasing on the label, with last years ‘The Drums’ smashing through on all fronts. Richy is now bestowed with the honour of helming the pinnacle 50th release for the ever ubiquitous label. ‘The Bells’ part 1 & 2 ­ already championed by Skream on BBC Radio 1 ­ is a bass driven banger centered around the hypnotic percussive groove.

Launched in 2010 and co­owned by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Hot Creations is the
ground­breaking independent dance imprint that’s gained global notoriety in recent years through pioneering a new and unique sound born of it’s founders deep affinity with old disco records and soulful funk. 2013 saw the duo take their label to even greater planes upon the major label release of their band Hot Natured’s truly unique debut album and the label continues to nurture and champion a host of incredible homegrown and
overseas talent such as Digitaria, Greg Pidcock, Miguel Campbell, Robert James, wAFF and of course Richy Ahmed. 

In summer 2012, the crew launched the weekly Paradise events in Ibiza DC10, now in its third year and one of the current highlights on the island.

Richy has always played an integral part in the label, ranging from A&R to residencies at the global Hot Natured and Paradise events. Having since made an impact at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals including, Sonar, Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, Bestival, Panorama bar and London institution fabric, Richy has continually proved himself as an unequivocal party starter.

Armed with an individual sound that fuses the energy of house and disco with infectious funk­inspired grooves and a touch of dark, Richy’s distinct style has always been championed by heavyweights in the game such as Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, Clive Henry and Seth Troxler. 2013’s ‘The Drums’ was Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune and gained widespread support among all the Radio 1 taste makers including Annie Mac, Danny Howard,and Rob Da Bank. As well as a host of massive remixes for the likes of Katy B on Columbia, Phil Kieran on Hot Flush, Michael Janson on Resonance Records, Richy also had a major coup curating the Rinse: 23 compilation to wide critical acclaim, cementing Richy’s status in the nu school elite.

Matthew Anthony is the founder and main operative of the LA based label Perfect Driver (established in 2011). The label has been one of the hottest in the underground scene while also receiving support from across the dance music spectrum from Claude Von Stroke to Chris Lake to name a few. We chatted to him and he described trying to make the track "raw, funky, and dirty," and we think he fully delivers in booty-approved "Perfect Driver" fashion.

Bad Boy Bill is a Chicago native that has the unique skill of both production and true turn-tablism. Being apart of the Chicago dance music community as a DJ since 1985, Bill has heard a plethora of house music and is one of the best in knowing what is innovative and pushing the music scene forward.  He teams up with We Jack Head-Honchos GettoBlaster aka Paul Anthony and Zach Beltz.

Carlos Sanchez, Sizeup and Monoky & Luis Miranda assemble for the second instalment of Hottrax’s Paradise series. 

Following on from the first ‘Paradise’ release featuring POPOF, Rafa Barrios and Kiki, not to mention Paradise Ibiza founder and Hottrax label boss Jamie Jones, the label’s second outing will feature three more quality cuts. 

Up first is Lowwax founder Carlos Sanchez, who’s known for releasing on labels like Roush, Home Invasion and Blind Vision. From the off, ‘Rigmarole’ is an intricate number designed for wonky dancefloors at their peak courtesy of its meandering bassline, rattling percussion and distorted vocals. 

Hot Creations and Material artist Sizeup is next with a swinging slice of house music entitled ‘Calypso’ which comes complete with thudding kicks and rising synths, as well as a cacophony of rims and atmospheric pops. Tying it all together, Monoky & Luis Miranda team up again for ‘Leggo’ which marches forward using shuffling hats, murky stabs and various subtle effects.

Forever pushing musical boundaries whilst producing a distinctive and evolving sound, SHADED brings his Southern California roots to Hot Creations this May with Mad Stacks. No stranger to the label following his High. Alive. And Dirty. EP, Demuir is onboard to deliver a solid remix.

Mentored and inspired by Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia, SHADED first appeared as part of the duo SHDWPLAY, who released a string of successful releases on SCI+TEC. He ventured down the solo path with releases on Tiga’s Turbo imprint, including the label’s best-selling release and Mixmag’s ‘Tune of the Month’. He’s also a key associate with Oliver Huntemann’s Senso: appearing on the 5th birthday release. SHADED is now working to finalise a new two-hour live Audio Visual show tailored to his style and vision.

Canadian native Demuir adds another dimension to the original, adding a synth loop to create a funky, new melody. With releases already on labels like I'm A House Gangster and MadTech, Demuir’s incredible career ascent shows no signs of slowing down for 2020 and beyond, with releases and remixes on Pets, Sola, Circus, Do Not Sleep and Hot Creations.
