We are excited to share the live recording of Sonic Wave Collective from this years Barcelona based Mostra festival.

Sonic Wave Collective is formed by Mostra's resident artists ABSIS, Cyklos and Spear with a focus on collaboration, inviting different artists to each event with improvisation as a nexus.

At Mostra 24, the guests were Puntalaberinto and Mod.1.

Expect a two hour live performance between machines with five artists pushing the boundaries of collaboration direct from Mostra location at Pati del Castell de Montjuïc.

Co-founder of Norway’s future-facing Ute crew, Ekkel (Teo Bachs) has a front-row seat in the cockpit on their psychedelic flavoured quest. From their woodland beginnings they’ve staked a claim to freedom through music and community, and expanded to include brick and mortar club nights and a self-titled label for the release of their magnetic and mysterious techno sounds. Forest-bath electronics that take stock of Scandinavia’s ambient tradition and cross-pollinate it with a measure of acid, trance and midnight sun. Teo’s own steadily rising number of productions (side project H25 included) has fleshed out Ute’s vision with a personal twist, and there’s another three scheduled for the fall. The past few years too have seen him hard at work exploring the possibilities of sound in a lonely cabin as part of Solar Alliance, collaborating with S.O.N.S on Korean label Junction Forest and producing many more unreleased tracks, some of which you’ll hear here first for a very special number. It’s a wormhole trip that marches headlong from the shadows, shimmering and physical beats that heave and swell, tribal breaks that flit from track to track and build a cathartic mood that harks back to Ute’s woodland roots. Ron Albrecht stands behind the decks of the most iconic clubs on the planet. His sets are deep, uncompromising, and emotionally charged – a captivating fusion of contemporary techno structures and the raw, honest roots of electronic music. With an exceptional sense for dramaturgy, he reads the energy of the dancefloor and guides his audience on an intense, almost meditative journey.

But his story goes much further back – deep into the early days of German techno culture. In the 1990s, Albrecht was more than just a DJ; he was a cultural pioneer. In 1994, he founded Gerberei in Schwerin, a club that quickly became one of the most important venues for electronic music in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. For nearly two decades, he shaped the club as co-founder, organizer, and resident DJ – providing a stage for both national and international artists, far from the major cities. At the same time, from 1995 to 2006, he ran the legendary record store Easy Traxx, which became a hub and source of inspiration for many DJs and music lovers. It wasn’t just a place to buy records – it was a space where attitude and taste were curated, rooted in a deep understanding of vinyl culture and sonic aesthetics.

In a personal interview with Andre Kronert, Ron Albrecht talks about his first encounters with electronic music, the magnetic pull of Berlin’s early club scene, and the pivotal moments that shaped his path. His stories offer insight into a constantly evolving scene – and into the mind of an artist who continues to approach it with integrity, depth, and passion.
